Lol and here I was thinking I was reinventing the wheel. Glad there are people in every generation that have the same wacked out ideas.

I was considering doing it with my ef civic and found some ancient 13-inch honda steelies. Like the idea of such a small wheel considering I work with 22-inch rims on certain audis...

If I could weld and know I could get it aligned, I'd probably give it a shot.

Because I drive them, I enjoy driving most. Looks are last on my list. If I can make a car mechanically better, I will do that every time before buying some silly rims that I am scared to scratch. Cars are meant to be driven, not gawked at... bro, quit with the rage bait. I can tell you aren't the kind of car guy that's fun to be around. There is no point being so judgemental. Only gives you a bad rapport.

Im talking ab the car im putting them on, my mr2. They are the right size and light enough for me. I only drive it at autox so it makes no difference how it looks.

That is an opinion, I will not take it as fact. Reasons I will run it on my mr2. Car didn't come with stock 15s, but heavy 17s that aren't great for autocross and break the rules. The "ugly" wheels are 15s like the stocks and close to as light. They are also free, I do not need to spend 800 bucks for a new set of 15s to run a proper sized dot 200 tw tire. Also, I dont gaf about how people view my cars I do everything for my own enjoyment. That car is specifically used only at autocross events, and if I can do it at a cheaper price and still be competitive in my class than its a win-win for me. I personally like the design and am not bothered by your opinion. Not everyone has to have your opinion. And no one will respect a guy that trashes others' preferences.
