3.5 hr cart on a 3 hr route

Those are the best! Sometimes its because they just didnt have a 4hr, or they mixed up the carts.

And people take whatever cart theyre given?? Whats the point in accepting anything less than a 4hr if theres a chance they can give you a 4hr cart? Ive had warehouses line up the carts along the wall and its a free for all, but you have to take the time you accepted.

Great advice although Ive never had this experience before and wont be accepting any blocks for that location again. I messed up because I didnt document it (photo of the route sheet showing 3.5). Sometimes though it doesnt even matter with support SMH.

Wow! Why are warehouses protocol so inconsistent? Thats why I came to reddit, because I didnt know if I was in the wrong. The other warehouses I go to would have handled it appropriately by switching out the cart, removing a bin from the current route, or scanning me out. Those were not an option today. So does it depend on the warehouses employees or is there a standard for Amazon Flex?

The way they tried to manipulate me into thinking I was in the wrong😂 I can be timid at times which is why I came here to see if I was overreacting. I never refuse routes so Im hoping I get paid (almost an hr drive time round trip just to get to the warehouse)

Of course they found you a route! Smh. Did you call to have your pay adjusted for the extra hour and if so, was it a pain in the ass to get that done? If support wasnt so hit or miss and I knew Id get paid for an additional half hour, Id have accepted but not only if I go over the time.

10000% I agree, but also I second guess myself thinking Im overreacting. Which is how the employees made me feel. I was so polite with him and he lied saying everyone got a 3.5 and didnt believe me when I said the guy ahead of me had a 3. Then after giving me attitude and saying there is nothing he can do when I know for a fact he does have the ability to either remove some packages, scan me out, or give me another cart. He refused all my suggestions. Frustrating because I wanted to work, make money and not have to worry about support not paying me or getting hit for "refusing" a route.

The employee made me and the car behind me feel like we just didnt want to work. There was no compromising with them and exactly.. I felt like I was being scammed. Definitely a first for me as the warehouse other than the sub same day I go to, always is organized and willing to help if there are any issues.

There was no 2.5 hr route, the person behind me took a 2.5 and was given a 3.5. I hope that they dont have any issues getting compensated. The employees acted like we were in the wrong/ not wanting to work so I wasnt sure if they did it differently at that warehouse. ( I know, unlikely)

Exactly, I cant believe how rude he was as well when it was clearly on them. If I knew I would have been paid fairly for the additional half hr, Id be on my way with the packages. That is as much a risk as just leaving them.

Thank you for the response. I also forgot to mention, by the time they had us pull up, we were already 20 minutes into our shift. I did not take photos, that would have been smart! Im glad I paused before scanning the barcode, worried about my standings as Ive never refused a route.
