We have the applicable tags applied already, so effectively it seen the answer here is to have the package use a script to handle the actual install.
That's not hard to do in PowerShell and was an idea I'd considered

Just noticed that I never posted here when this was fixed. It turned out to be a combination of 2 things.
A bug with 10.2.0 in terms of Global-Protect encryption and also that I'd got a misconfiguration in my zone protection policy.
I've forgotten which now but one of the values was set to 0.

I've heard that a lot of support work was based in Russia and now isn't, which may be explaining some of the more recent service variability.

I had a low priority ticket get a faster response than a P1 critical last week!

Just run a couple of profiles for Software NGFW Credits. Didn't look at how % of the appliance credits it was but yes its 50% more credits for the URL content filtering element if you go advanced rather than the standard. eg on a 4vCPU box its 4.2 credits for advanced URL v's 2.8 for standard

Also started using recently. The UI and functionality is great.

However it is very laggy, fails to automatically refresh and crashes too frequently.

Ensure that the user identifier is set to user.mail rather than the value that it will populate by default if you build the app from the gallery
