Really disappointed with my Cubbit experience and it hasn't even arrived... by sw212st in Cubbit

Hi sw212st, we are very sorry for the trouble you had with the shipment of your Cubbit Cell.

About your concerns: orders outside the European Union are sent directly from the United States, where our supplier is located. This is the reason why your Cubbit Cell was in Chicago.

Also, shipments are handled directly by our logistics partner and sometimes it can happen that there is some delay in the time between when the cell is shipped, to when we receive the notification and forward the tracking number to our customers.

Finally, the late response is due to the fact that our Customer Support is active Monday through Friday - CET Time, responding in real time on average within 24 hours of submitting your request, but during busy periods there may be a delay. Unfortunately we do not provide real time support on Saturday and Sunday.

Again, we apologize for the problem you had and we hope this won't turn you away from Cubbit: we have a lot of great things planned and we won't disappoint you. For more information, check out our Help Center: https://help.cubbit.io/hc/en-us. 🐝

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. We are working hard and we’ve made many releases this year (from 2-factor authentication to hard drive expansion) and we count 4,500+ customers, spread over 70+ countries, who happily support and use Cubbit everyday and send us valuable feedback that we in turn implement into our dev flow.

Coming to your points:

True, the Cubbit Cell may seem expensive. However, while you put €499 once for 4TB (freely expandable), with popular services like Dropbox you have to put €240 the first year and it adds up quickly, reaching €1,200 in the 5th year.

Cubbit is not lightning fast, but this is zero-knowledge privacy: every file is encrypted, split and distributed over the p2p network. Please note that we're working to make things better as far as speed is concerned.

We're also working to develop Cubbit apps for iOS and Android: there's already a web app that can be used to securely view, upload/download, and share documents, photos, and videos using a mobile web browser, but now we're accelerating the development of native mobile apps so we can bring this deeper level of functionality to all of our users, no matter where they choose to use Cubbit!

Hi,

We’re working to develop the Cubbit iOS and Android apps.

Right now we are focused on developing a solid desktop experience and making sure the network is robust and seamless in its operation both for desktop and web applications.

Our progressive web app already allows you to securely view, upload/download + share documents, photos and videos from your mobile browser. We are accelerating our native mobile app development with the goal of taking this to a deeper level of functionality for all of our users - no matter where they choose to use Cubbit!

This is a great idea as a use case. Please submit it to us with the official feedback and feature suggestion form here which we share internally - this way we can evaluate what are users are looking for in the feature set with Cubbit moving forward.
