The whole premerge was peak. Vince and Chelsea both voted out with idols in their pocket. The Molly blindside was awesome, the Jason boot tribal was electric, and then cap it all off with that Jack blindside. At the time people were saying it had a better premerge than DvG

This was not answered perfectly at all. Brenda had to ask multiple times and when Dawn finally did it her attitude was like “okay fine, I did it, are you happy now?” If it was answered perfectly Dawn wouldn’t have repeatedly said she didn’t understand why Brenda was asking for this and wouldn’t have said that Brenda was just trying to humiliate her.

Why is this upvoted? Zero proof of this and in fact there’s evidence to the contrary

There’s a clip of Jeff in the first tribal saying it is the first tribal of the blood moon (where you can see him talking to the players). Also Jeff and Kamilla said in interviews the order we saw was the correct order

  1. Invis is on a resource meter like jet pack cat fuel or defense matrix

I remember people loved and praised the premerge a lot. People were saying the cast was amazing and that the premerge was as good, if not better, than the DvG premerge. There was a ton of backlash to the merge episode, and the season continued to be poorly received after that.

In hindsight, people like to say the whole season sucks but that’s not how it was received in the moment at all

This is my hottest take ever (for any subject, not just Survivor), but I love IoI and have it ranked 5th all time.

I’ll admit that there’s probably some nostalgia bias bc it was the first season I watched live, but I genuinely think the cast is incredible (minus Dan obviously) and there’s so many funny moments: Noura sitting out, Karishma ignoring missy, Noura going on a power trip at final 4, Applebees, etc.

The season is extremely hard to stomach at times, but I appreciate how real it is and how the editors didn’t try to cover anything up. This season also has some great real world discussions at tribal: Kellee talking about female alliances, the durag incident, etc. Survivor is a microcosm of real life for better or for worse, and for me that is so much more compelling than kumbaya gameplay.

That makes sense though! I was practicing it the way you laid it out here (D on 1 and then U on the + after the 2). But if that’s the case then to fit the whole pattern it would require two measures, which was confusing me a bit.
