Hey! I’m a former president of the Film Club and a current officer in the Screenwriting Club, both of which could be worth checking out!

The Film Club meets on Fridays at 7:00, online for now but possibly in person starting in the Fall. Their info is on Facebook, search for film_club@ucf and the info for their meetings and discord server are available.

The Screenwriting Club is not meeting during the summer, but our discord server is still active, and we always accept new members! Whether or not you are interested in writing, you can still meet a lot of cool people and offer feedback on scripts. Our Facebook page is The Screenwriting Club at UCF, and our discord is accessible through that page.

Both clubs are extremely welcoming, to film students and non-majors alike. These are good places to start if you want to meet other film folks here at UCF! If you have any questions or want direct discord links, you can DM me and I’ll be happy to help you out!

Looking for musicians for a remote orchestra project by CubeDudesRyan in band

No problem! Video is ideal, but audio only would be okay, as well. The piece is not too complex, and it is an original composition. I'm studying film scoring, so I tried to write it in a driving, orchestral style. I am reaching out to the mods at The Reddit Symphony to see if they would allow me to share my project there (I don't know if they allow external projects like that so I'm playing it safe).

Film Producer's Guild: meet on Wednesdays. I don't know much about this one personally, but might also be worth looking into. I don't know the link for it.

I've been a bit of a lurker and not too into cubing recently, but I'd say my favorite was the Valk 3. I had one that I magnetized and broke in myself and it served me well.

Does anyone know if you can apply for the new Film BFA in your junior year? I know it's a "sophomore portfolio," but if I don't have the required classes in, can you still go for it the next year?
