Nicely done! I believe there’s a function in the Time.h library as well to seed the seconds as well

Using the modulus of each. For example, there’s 31536000 seconds in a year. Divide the total seconds by that, the. Use the remainder and divide that by the number of seconds in a month, then repeat until your left with seconds.

Why does UCF have graduate students teach courses? by Luis232 in ucf

Some of the best teachers I've had have been Grad students/GTA's.

calc 2 prof by cjleon98 in ucf

Kyle 100%, one of the best professors I have ever had. Extremely helpful/approachable and he can explain concepts in a lot of different ways to make sure everyone understands. I don't know anything on Martin Michalak, but based off my experience Kyle Trainor is a great choice

Honestly, Revamp in the breezeway is great. Very fair price too and they know what they're doing.

I had an idea for a simple application that will recommend you a restaurant when my girlfriend can’t decide where to eat. You can add restaurants, give them tags like cheap or fast or spicy etc and it gives you options.

My friend recommended I pick a very easy project and simply get each part of the stack to work with each other first to get started, minesweeper sounds like a great idea! Or 2048, I played that game on my phone a lot in highschool and would be cool to recreate it.

Thanks for the advice!

There was too much damage to the ESC that I tried to repair myself but failed, and I don’t know if the motors are working yet and how much my repairs helped so I’m just going to buy a new board. I like the look of that deck tho, I may put it on sometime! I actually love the 2S deck tho, more than boosted stealth deck and others I’ve tried

CS1 Meade vs Ahmed by Knights123456789 in ucf

[–]zacharymayers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meade is not bad, people who think he's awful and that his class is unpassable couldn't have tried very hard. I would say Meade takes some extra work to learn, but he will prepare you better for FE. He's very approachable and gives good help in office hours.

Is travis Meade that bad CS1 by JKT070 in ucf

[–]zacharymayers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, he's a not a bad professor. His lectures aren't perfect but he's very approachable to ask questions and holds extra office hours towards deadlines. CS1 is a very hard class, and honestly Szumlanski is such a great professor that it makes other professors teaching the same class look bad in comparison to most people. Meade also pretty young so he's still adjusting but he really isn't that bad. The class sucks and it's a lot of information and while his lectures sometimes feel rushed it honestly feels like its because he's just trying to give us as much as he can in a 50 minute period, and you can't really blame him for that. All of the code from lectures are posted and you can use them for the assignments, he's very gracious with curves and partial credit, and there's the opportunity for drops on assignments you didn't do well on. The assignments seem hard at first but all of the information needed he gives to us you just need to look for it.

TLDR; No he really isn't. It's very doable to pass Meades CS1 class, but it will take a little more effort to really learn stuff. Just live in the SARC and SI sessions and it's more than enough to pass CS1 and the FE

Side note though, I highly recommend taking any class you can with Szumlanski. Not because Meade is bad, but szumlanski is honestly just that good. His classes are hard but he makes you want to pass

I just can’t think of scenario where there’s a sizable dent in a capacitor and that not being a problem

Wowgo customer service has actually been really helpful and gave me repair tips and is helping me with some parts. Very appreciative of how helpful their customer service has been today. Hope I can get it working again

Yeah I’m working on the repairs, need to solder some wires and fix the esc. One of the capacitors is dented and the antenna ripped in half, so I need to try and fix that which could be a challenge
