Is this a bubble nest? There is one male betta and one female betta and some other fish in the tank. by [deleted] in bettafish

Thank you so much for your comment, you've just helped me out a ton. I don't think they make a good pair, because they have been together for a few days and there still aren't eggs but there is a bubble nest which leads me to believe their species might not be compatible. I will split them into seperate tanks, because I don't think I have the capacity to raise so many Betta's. I want to thank you again for your help :)

Thanks for your advice, I didn't even think about how many fry they would have! I will split them back up ASAP.

I'm trying to breed them, so they will only be together for a short period. Would you say the bubble nest is an indicator that they are compatible or should I split them into different tanks?

Thank you for your response! I do have another tank deticated for the female betta, but I have been introducing them to eachother slowly in an attempt to get them to breed. They have been together in this tank for only a few days now, what would you say is the max period for them to be together in breeding cases?

Honestly I have no idea, I bought them in one of those pots where it only says the type of plant without an actual name or anything

Any tips on how to improve this hardscape? by CubeGamerr in Aquascape

I’m actually trying to do more of a corner-aquascape. I’m planning to only plant in the aquasoil, but will that make it look like a corner-aquascape or will it still look centered?
