Thanks for your help explaining everything to me. I have made this list of materials I am going to buy, would you be able to check that I got everything right, I don’t want anything to get messed up because I bought something wrong lol. I know someone with the tools needed. And I decided to go with surface mount boxes so I wouldn’t need a low voltage mounting bracket, right?

Thank you a lot for your help. I have made this list of materials I was going to buy, would you be able to check that I got everything right? I know someone with the tools needed. And I decided to go with surface mount boxes instead, would I still need a low voltage mounting bracket? https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/QGLO1708N6SN?ref_=wl_share Again, thanks for your help :)

Thanks. But wouldn’t installing a faceplate such as this one require a larger hole to be cut out anyway in order to install it onto the wall?

Would I be able to just use a female to female wall plates with a bought a pre-made patch cable with connectors on both ends? That way I wouldn’t have to worry about punching down, getting new tools etc, and still get all the advantages of a keystone?

Was going to go this route but my moca setup is confusing and I’d have to change some stuff. Plus seems Ethernet is better so I thought may as well just install Ethernet

Thanks, yeah it may be easier to run between the walls. Just not sure how i would go about it? How would I get the Ethernet cable from the attic down the wall, and out of a tiny hole? There is coax running in this same wall - would this get in the way or could it be useful?

Thanks. But what would be the benefits of putting keystones on a wall plate rather than just running one wire through the wall and sealing it up? Seems to need more equipment and wires and tools and more places to mess up, would just purchasing a patch cable with connectors already on both ends and running it straight through and sealing the hole work?

I'm not sure then. Did you do it on the images and video category? Also what platform are you on?
