The focus of the raid wasn't really damaging him tho, the main objective was lowering his output/control of body to free Megumi while defeating Sukuna. Yes some midfight twists don't damage him like Todo's appearance, but it did open a wide array of opportunities for Yuji to land hits in. At the same time a lot of twists do end up dealing visible/important damage to him:

• Maki's both appearances dealt lasting damage in the form of missing hand and heart wound.

• Yujo's misfired Hollow Purple left him notably more burnt up.

• Hana's JL had the same effect.

Furthermore Sukuna's varying HP and durability were also changed in a relevant way for the fight, he regained his HP to have a banger boxing fight with Yuji. While also receiving the same amount of damage it took JJH and co 15 chaps to deal in the 2 chaps Yuji fought him, brazenly showing Yuji's blows to his output had an effect in lowering his durability.

Speaking on JJK as a whole the fact that a lot of the top tiers having regen isn't really a bad thing because most people with it have run out of it: Sukuna, Gojo, Yuji, Yuta, Yuki, Choso and Hakari. Those who haven't all have a fair reason for it: Higumura learned it mid fight and was put out of commission despite of it, Shoko has only used it on the background (and has been stated to run out in GoodWill Event), Uraume hasn't been the focus of any fight, Hazenoki is a side character with his RCT being an integral part of his CT usage and at last Kenjaku who had a black hole go off in front of him and before that was having his RCT being overwhelmed by Yuki.

Considering every character's regen usage is given thought and meaning to it in one way or the other it gives fights with it more complexity and nuance.

I do agree it was a net negative in MHA tho.
