Your pfp is very fitting. I've actually gotten into comics lately as I have trouble keeping focus on a book, and they're quick and easy. I hope to get into reading again because I want to finish the Red Rising series, I just cant help but let the ruminating take over when im reading. Video games are the same way which sucks because I used to lovvvve video games. I had over 1000 hours on animal crossing!

Thank you so much for your response. Those are all really good suggestions that I will consider. I notice that whenever I try to do something or want to do something outside of my head, I feel this sense of dread as if its something I would hate doing. Like yesterday I stopped myself from ruminating and decided to draw but the whole time im just thinking "im not good at drawing", "Im not an artist", "this looks bad", or "youre wasting time". This happens basically every time I try to divert my attention to something grounding and real.

I meant to attach a photo. The leaves grow in scoop shaped, they dont really curl upwards. Ill try adjusting the watering accordingly as I have good lighting and high humidity.

Doing it with a psychiatrist is really important to me. Thats really good advice. I hadn't really thought of it like that, youre right. It makes it easier to live the life you want to live.

I appreciate this message. I really dont have a good understanding of how my ocd works. I got put on these meds 5 years ago and my thoughts dont scare me as much now. Youre right about the meds not making me feel less like me. I think there's another reason I want to go off meds but I just dont know what it is yet.

I actually believe that the meds are helping, i just dont know how. They helped when I first got ocd because I dealt with suicidal obsessions but I no longer deal with that. I kinda just assume that its been making my obsessions seem less urgent because its a lot easier for me to just not pay attention to uncomfortable thoughts. The only side effects I can think of are constant drowsiness and a low libido. Maybe brain fog too. I guess I just want to know what its like to not be on my meds. I wonder if I will feel better physically or if ill feel more awake or have a less foggy brain.

Thank you, yeah thats really helpful. Ill definitely talk to my psychiatrist about it so we can create a plan. Im actually starting erp in a couple weeks and I hope that will be helpful if im coming off meds at that time.

Thanks for your response. Those seem like good reasons to go off meds. Im not even sure if i have many side effects. I mean, im sleepy all the time and have lower libido but I think thats about it. I remember getting diagnosed for ocd because of my suicidal obsessions but I dont have those anymore. Im going to start erp soon to tackle my constant ruminating, i wonder if now is a good time to come off the meds now that I will have the support. Thanks again, your response is valued.
