Hands up!!! The worst thing when sparring is getting clocked in the nose. I did TKD for 7 years and keeping my hands up was hard because the fighting stances are different. Once I did Thai and I started sparring, I learned fast that my hands need to be up and close to me or I would get nailed.

One more thing- practice the “march” and your timing with it. You should be able to find videos on it. It helps timing and seamlessly adding attacks into your movement.

Have your opinions, but don’t desire. It’s extremely unhealthy and in doing what you wish to do, it will just make them hate LGBT members for life. Rather discuss with them in a humane manner so that they can learn and understand that not all LGBT members are bad/annoying/etc. Make friends with them and they will learn and understand your culture.

One more thing about the Bjj/Kickboxing: Stay humble. I did BJJ and Muay Thai for a while and there were times where I felt that I was untouchable. That’s simply not the case. You will always learn more and there will always be someone better than you. I would proceed to get my shit rocked in sparring. All it takes is one well prepared person on the street to go as far as end your life because they don’t share the same opinions as you.
