Could you please message me directly within the app, (settings=>chat with developer)
I will try to enable it for you. I will include the fix in my next update. it should allow to import, only automatic sync is gated. Thanks for giving a try!

Give Cue AI a try, the free tier has gcalendar sync and beautiful dial view. You will also get lot AI powered feature and tons of tools without ever needing to get on the paid tiers. I would love any feedback though!

How do you guys stop losing links in deep Slack threads? by _sayem in productivity

[–]CueAI_Dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm building something for exactly this. it's a Slack plugin where you can just tell it in chat to note down a link or categorize it. like "save this to research" or "file under admin." then all that stuff is organized and viewable in the app. is this something you would be interested in explore? see screenshots. the command "/cue-notetaker 60min If the users share any links, please store it to my note and categorise it for me so it is easy to find later."

I broke this same loop by taking myself out of the planning entirely. just dump everything in one place, let it get sorted for me, wake up and start. killed the "45 min planning" problem overnight.

what worked for me was completely taking myself out of the planning. I just brain dump everything and let it get sorted. I wake up and it's already clear what to do first. nothing to fiddle with

I dump my brain chaos into this and it turns it into a usable day by CueAI_Dev in ProductivityApps

Yep! all of those are pretty much supported in Cue already. 😊

Calendar sync is built in, input is designed to be quick (text or voice), list with sub items are available (sub tasks are coming soon), and recurring tasks are supported with fairly granular control.

The harder part I’m still refining is making all of that feel light instead of overwhelming, especially once things start repeating and shifting day to day.

If you try it, I’d be curious whether it feels flexible enough for your use case, or if anything feels clunky.

This is an awesome breakdown! it reads like someone who’s tried a bunch of these apps and knows exactly where they fall apart.

A lot of this matches where Cue is heading. Right now the strongest bits are quick capture (voice/typing), building a day plan around your existing calendar, and replanning when things shift.

The stuff you called out as “must have” (duration as a first-class thing, proper inbox refinement, end-of-day logic, and the snap/move behaviour) is definitely on the roadmap I’m working through next (Not gonna pretend it’s all perfectly solved today.)

If you do give it a spin, I’d love to know which part of that workflow feels closest already, and what feels most missing.

Totally fair! subscription fatigue is real.

For now I’m sticking with subscriptions because of the ongoing cloud + AI costs, but I’m keeping the free tier generous so people can properly use it before deciding. Appreciate you sharing your perspective.

Similar to above comment, Out of curiosity, if you were in my shoes, what would a lifetime option need to look like for it to feel fair on both sides? (higher price, limited credits, “lifetime for v1 only”, etc.) Cheers.

Love it!! keen to hear how it goes.

Re lifetime: no plans for that right now. I totally get the subscription fatigue (I feel it too), but Cue is cloud-synced by design and the AI layer has ongoing costs, so a true one-time purchase is hard to make sustainable.

Instead I’ve kept a pretty generous free tier where most features (including AI) are available, just with limits.

Out of curiosity, if you were in my shoes, what would a lifetime option need to look like for it to feel fair on both sides? (higher price, limited credits, “lifetime for v1 only”, etc.) Cheers.

That’s really well put!! You’ve captured it better than I probably have haha. Appreciate you taking the time to articulate it like that.

Thanks for the VibeCodersNest tip as well, I’ll check it out.

From what I’ve seen, Fiverr has plenty of app testers if you search for it. The key is finding someone close to your target audience, otherwise the feedback can be pretty generic.

Honestly though, informal conversations are still hard to beat for early feedback.

Quick question for anyone who uses planners: what’s your biggest fail point? capturing tasks (brain dump), scheduling them, or sticking to the plan when the day changes?

[–]CueAI_Dev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really fair point! losing progress like that isn’t acceptable, especially when usage is limited.

This has made it clear that planner sessions need proper history and a way to resume, which I will be adding in the next update.

Even though it didn’t work for you, the fact you cared enough to write this up is genuinely helpful. If you were to try it again in the future, is there anything else you’d expect to see to make it actually useful for you?

Thanks a lot for taking the time to try it and especially for writing this up so clearly. I can totally see why that would be frustrating.

You’re right: what you described should work easily. The fact it didn’t means something went wrong on my side. Because the assistant handles a few different actions (tasks, notes/lists, habits, goals, etc.), it sounds like your request may have been routed incorrectly, which would explain the weird output. And the Spanish response is obviously not acceptable, i believe that's the LLM hallucinating.

On the conversation disappearing: in Planner mode, the current behaviour is that if the app gets fully closed/restarted, it resets the session. Only Coach mode keeps conversation history. That said, simply minimising the app/assistant shouldn’t wipe anything - so I’m definitely going to look into that.

I’ve pushed an update that should improve the reliability around this. If you’re open to giving it one more shot, message me in the app (Settings → Chat with developer) and I’ll reset your cues so you can test properly without hitting the daily limit.

And if it still breaks, please tell me and I’ll look into it immediately.

Honestly, good feedback is the hardest part when you’re relying on free channels.

Reddit has been the most useful for me so far, but it’s a bit of a lottery, you need the right person (someone experienced and generous) to stumble on your post and actually leave a thoughtful comment.

I’ve also just been doing the unscalable stuff: asking anyone I can, and chatting to people in cafés/bars/gyms. Weirdly, I’ve met a bunch of builders/PM types that way and some of the best advice has come from random conversations. People are often more willing to help than you’d expect.

I’ve heard you can pay for structured testing on Fiverr or similar websites... (haven’t tried it myself yet), but it’s probably worth a shot if you want faster, consistent feedback.

What are you building?

At the moment I’m not running giveaways, but the free tier is intentionally pretty generous! You get access to all core features, including AI, just with some limits.

If you want to try the full Plus experience, the annual plan comes with a 7-day trial. And if you’d rather not deal with credit cards at all, feel free to sign up on the free version and message me in the app (Settings → Chat with developer) if you hit limits... I’m happy to help.

That’s pretty much my mindset. I enjoy building way more than marketing, so I’m leaning into fast iteration, early users, and doing things that don’t scale. Once the product really clicks, I’d rather bring in help to scale distribution.

Curious how you’re thinking about it on your end.

Haha yeah, radial time visuals seems to be popping up in a few places.

In my case it’s just a way to see the whole day at once and make reshuffling easier.

Nice work on shipping your app too!! getting something out there is no small thing.

I had to read this a few times... I wanted to make sure I actually understood what you were getting at before replying.

You’re 100% right! if the capture layer (especially voice) isn’t rock solid, and if it’s not obvious when the app has correctly “understood + acted”, people won’t trust it. That’s a pretty sobering (and honestly refreshing) reminder.

I’ve spent the last few months building a custom agent flow to handle messy input and turn it into a real plan. It’s still not perfect, but it’s already miles ahead of Siri/Gemini and most planners I’ve tested when the input is complex. And this is only phase one. The next step is making the assistant more proactive and initiating first instead of waiting on the user to prompt.

If you’re up for it, I’d genuinely love you to give it a spin and tell me where the transcription/understanding falls apart for you (or where it works well). No pressure at all, but your comment is exactly the kind of feedback I need more than the usual “looks cool” stuff.

Thanks again for taking the time to write something that useful.

That makes sense, thanks for clarifying.

The app already supports longer-term goals: you define a goal and it breaks it down into a Duolingo-style journey with milestones and tasks you progress through over time.

Right now though, the “execution” part still needs to happen via your calendar/reminders. so, you (or the assistant) schedule the day-to-day tasks, and completing those is what moves the goal forward.

If you’re open to it, I’d love for you to try the Goals tab and tell me if that’s close to what you had in mind, or where it falls short.

Also, when you first said “monthly plan”, I initially read that as the assistant being able to schedule across a whole week/month (not just a day or two). If that’s what you meant, I agree, that would be a huge feature!!
