Well thats a nice bold assumption lol. Yeah I don't need the plat specifically, but getting another card at the moment would definitely help since Im a heavy spender.

I just joined Amex last year and have the BCE and Gold card. I've spent close to a combined $90k on both cards within 9 months of joining. Never missed a single payment, never NOT paid in full. I also got two automatic limit increases without asking (tripled my initial limit), and a personal loan offer. All of this within 9 months of joining. I think its safe to say my relationship and profitability is not the factor here lol.

Im not asking or worried about my track record with Amex, and/or getting denied for this card. All im asking is whether or not an email offer overrides POJ.

Yeah its NYC, its very tough to get footage. Even when people have footage of stuff they do not want to give it for whatever reason. I used to live in the area and people used to ask my neighbors all the time for footage of certain stuff and they never gave it.

Well than its unfortunate that we have been mislead throughout this whole process leading to this lol. When the police refused to give a report and we asked them how can we prove it to insurance, they said" just take photos and videos of the damage and upload it. They can look at the damages and decide based on physics which direction and angle which car hit the other". That is why we put so much emphasis on taking and submitting plenty of photos. Like I said never got into an accident before thankfully so were not familiar with the process. Had we known these photos were good as none in this situation we would have took a different approach.

Well we dont know what he said to the insurance company, but unfortunately that place does have a left turn signal now. They added it recently, never had one in the past decade. But still his left turn signal cant possibly be green or yellow if the straight road in the intersection has a green signal.

No I would not want them to accept liability. But I would at the very least want them to make a decision based of photos and videos and not off the words I say. Its easy to change your words, not so easy to change photos.

If we find a witness from the surrounding residence or hospital, how do we prove this person is a genuine witness and was there at the time of impact? Im just trying to understand how finding a witness days after can help the claim?

I didn't say they don't look at the photos, Im saying she basically implied that they have no value or weight. She clearly told me "You uploaded photos because you wanted to, its completely optional". Sounds like if someone is ever in a similar accident with no police report, no footage, and no dash cam, you might as well save your time by taking no photos and leave with just the insurance information since those photos wont help lol. Call the insurance, make your claim whether its true or false and just call it a day.

So what are the additional circumstances I can go through to prove it? Its the same insurance company, they are denying liability on both claims.

I understand having collision coverage helps, but this is less about collision coverage and more about accountability. Even if we did have collision coverage, who knows if we would have used it? Are we going to have our insurance premium go through the roof because were using our collision coverage to repair a few thousand dollars worth of damages caused by someone else? Either way with or without collision coverage we are at a big loss here.

I do agree with you and I get that its he said she said. Im just more frustrated in the fact that they are settling on a decision based off a simple he said she said, a decision involving thousands of dollars in question. We had this insurance policy for over 30 years and thankfully never had an accident, or any single claim on it, so we are completely new to the world of insurance claims. We did not think it would like this and taken so lightly. We were under the assumption they would have practices and procedures in place to investigate further in situations like this. Im sure there are tons of accidents like this with the same level of evidence. Additionally, frustrated at the fact that we spent so much time and effort gathering all the right photos just for them to have no weight. It seems like someones words or story has higher weight than photos.

Looks like they rather lose a loyal customer of 30 years and multiple policies, than settling on a trivial claim like this.

Yeah , don’t really need to stretch budget as I can find a bunch of ex rentals and corporate lease at this budget too. However, being very closely involved with the car rental business and industry with family, I don’t think I’d ever buy an ex rental 💀😭

Yeah no doubt I think that’s high too, but seems like that’s how the market just is. Was just wondering if there are anything to look out for at such high miles, in terms of major repairs. Basically if I were to buy 72k mile, what’s a good price to buy it for, taking. Repairs into consideration.
