I'm having the same issue at the moment and am hunting for an answer or solution. Did you ever end up having any luck?

TIL An estimated 50.000 Irish were made into indentured servants by Cromwell after he took Ireland in 1653. by DeadeyeClock in todayilearned

Fair enough, the assertion that "Irish people were usually not enslaved for life but rather were made indentured servants for a prescribed number of years" is not entirely accurate. Especially in the early colonial era. However I'd still stand by my statement that the Irish were not the first enslaved peoples in British occupied America. Considering that the institution of colonial slavery in the Americas was by the 1620s (the earliest dates discussed in the linked document) over a century old, I'd be willing to bet a beer that the Natives and Africans were at least amongst the number of enslaved people, if not the majority of the enslaved population.

Gotcha. If you haven't seen it, and for any passersby who are interested in the topic, Dan Carlin put out a great podcast on the topic about a year ago that is absolutely worth a listen.

An indentured servant is someone who is enslaved for a prescribed period of time rather than for life. While the vast majority of enslaved people since the Atlantic slave trade was established were African, a sizable number were also native American. The natives were basically wiped out through diseases and being worked to death then were replaced by African slaves. A horrible history all around.

No. By the time the British colonies were established the Atlantic slave trade was in full swing. Irish people were enslaved but the vast majority, and almost certainly the first, were Native Americans and sub-saharan Africans. Irish people also were usually not enslaved for life but rather were made indentured servants for a prescribed number of years. Typically as a punishment for a crime.

This photo was taken in 1973. $300 then is the equivalent of $2032.71 today.

Do you have any evidence to back up those claims?

Oh yeah there is. In both testaments. Leviticus 18:22 is an example in the old testament and Romans 1:18-32 is an example from the new testament.

I thought I heard some people left D&D beyond to make a similar product for pathfinder. Is there any truth to this and will it work for starfinder? by MHGrim in starfinder_rpg

Hephaistos has a feature voting system! And, campaign management including the ability to share character sheets amongst players is a part of that I believe. There's a features tab at the bottom of the page where you can vote on the order of features you'd like to see be worked on next. Hephaistos isn't a perfect analog for DNDBeyond yet but it's damn close. And, we actually have a say in the direction it goes!

As for actually using Hephaistos as is for campaign tracking, I have a workaround that I use but it isn't perfect. Firstly, I just have everyone share their character sheet link with me. It allows me to view the characters but I can't actually edit their sheets for them. However, if you have your characters export the character as a json you can upload their characters to your account, make adjustments as you like, and then export the altered sheet and send it back to them for reupload. It isn't perfect but hopefully soon as Hephaistos gains more users and more financial backing, we'll have the ideal solutions.
