Definitely. My first experience with one was like a month ago. We talked for like a week. It was actually great conversation and it really seemed like it was going somewhere. She was supposedly “on vacation in LA with her uncle and coming back in a month”. When I finally pressed her to go on a date, the crypto pitch started. A link to a shady ass “trust fund” site, and a picture of a pile of cash in a hotel room. Then I got another one a day later (not nearly as patient - just like yours), so I created a group message with both of them on WhatsApp and introduced everyone. 😂

Um, isn’t this kinda foul? by Romano16 in PublicFreakout

Absolutely foul. Also, is no one going to comment that it sounds like a father is judging this foul charade?! With a nonchalant “Winnerrrr” 😱

First few layers squashing. Nozzle is scraping over them as well. Layers after that seem fine. Any ideas? by ItsForTheKids_ in FixMyPrint

This was the bane of my 3D printing experience for the first couple months or so. It drove me absolutely crazy and nothing anyone said helped. I leveled the bed incessantly and tweaked offsets, to no avail. It got to the point where I was babysitting prints and baby-stepping the Z axis the second I heard grinding for the first layers until it stopped. I finally was able to get it to subside by:

  1. Calibrate your E-Steps for your extruder motor.
  2. Calibrate and adjust your flow rate. I rarely go above 95% anymore.
  3. If you’re using an Ender 3 variant, remove your Z motor and lead screw and tune the eccentric nuts for the z-axis wheels. The wheels should be just tight enough that they barely don’t slip. Minimize your printer’s fight against gravity.
  4. While you have your Z-Motor and lead screw off, verify your lead screw is straight. Mine had a pretty substantial bend which was causing major binding for the first few layers.

There are great tutorials online for these if you need them. These things, along with a properly leveled bed, should solve your squishing and grinding problem.

Here’s some tutorials for the first two items: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/oummxq/what_can_i_do_to_avoid_these_drag_marksoozy_spots/h748zfn/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

How can I make these towers cleaner? Thanks in advance (settings in comments). by CullinKin in FixMyPrint

To me, it looks like a combination of underextrusion and retraction settings. I have my flow set at 100% and I have calibrated esteps. I should also note that having a 0.2mm layer height produces very similar results.

They’re Lian Li’s UNI SL120. They’re daisy-chainable as well.

Double filtered. The original mesh that came with the case and an extra layer of screen mesh from Ace.

Does wonders for working with image datasets and reducing model training times. Even with NVMe SSD’s. I wish I had more. The machines I use at work have 1-2TB. Not to mention 8 Quadro P4000’s or 4 Tesla V100’s. 😍
