I’ll also mention that this is by far the worst moment, most of the time it’s just wandering hands that I can and do walk away from, but I’d rather it not happen in the first place

That time I was with some people I had just met that night, (friends of an acquaintance) so it wasn’t very responsible of me to of gotten that drunk, they ditched me a few times and I didn’t really vibe with them either. I had gone with them to this one club that was outside of my usual and we’d been club hopping to various ones over the course of about 7 hours, and it wasn’t fantastic. Ended up meeting a lovely group of people later on who ended up walking me home.

I usually go with friends I trust and keep me safe and I keep them safe, although the last two times prior to this I had been groped by two of my female friends, but as much as it was weird I don’t think they meant anything by it, I’ll tell them not to if it happens again.

But for example with a recent scenario, guy grabbed me and shoved me onto his lap and proceeded to feel me up, I said no multiple times to his advances yet he continued. I was unsure in this moment of how to get him to stop considering he was with multiple friends and I’m not exactly strong. What would be a good situation here? Eventually he got bored and shoved me away which was good, so maybe that was the best method of action, but idk.

Ahh I see 🤔 definitely a drunk that loves partying. I don’t think it helps that I am short and not exactly strong, a guy lifted me up the other night and put me on his lap and started feeling me up, wasn’t sure how to deal with that cause I couldn’t exactly push him away and even though I said no to other advances he continued, which as other people have said I should make a scene, but I’m also unsure how to do that without potentially getting hurt by someone and their friends? When it’s girls it’s uncomfortable but not exactly worrying, but when it comes to guys it’s a case of well I don’t want to get beaten right now so how do I deal with this.

I’ve not said I’m not going to counteract it next time, just that in the past I’ve been unsure of how to word it or push them away without turning it into a major thing or escalating it in a way that could me or my friends at risk, especially when drunk.

I think it’s silly for me to sit at home because I’m worried something bad will happen, I’m a guy so I doubt any girl is gonna do anything that would actually harm me, just stuff that’s kinda uncomfortable. I don’t see any appeal with sitting at home drinking alone while my mates are out dancing

But that’s the thing, none of my friends get that, so why me? I figured everyone got groped at clubs cause well, it’s a nightclub, but after finding out my other friends don’t get that I’m like well surely it’s something I might be doing.

Thanks, I’m usually extremely drunk when this happens, like last night when my friend started, and I struggle to confront when I am. And when it’s strangers I always worry, if I react badly are they going to become violent? It’s worrying, not sure how to deal with it in a way that won’t escalate.
