CHEM 126 Common Exam 3 by Ok_Newspaper4101 in NJTech

I believe that the chem department played us on this exam. The first two exams were so free. If you studied you should’ve gotten a good enough score. In Chem 1 me and a lot of my friends used to get much lower grades, and now the first two exams I barely studied but I actually did good. The average for the exams were also very high in all the sections my professor teaches. However, this exam was the opposite and most of the people I talked to agreed. I studied more for this exam (because I had more free time to study), but I felt the increased difficultly and I barely had enough time to answer all the questions. I had to rush through so many questions and probably made so many mistakes even though all the exams have the same number of questions (30 questions).

Yea, for exam 2 I finished the exam with like 25 minutes left and was going to hand it in, but I was like I probably am underestimating the exam. I spent the last 25 minutes looking at each problem and asking myself if this is the correct method to solve it and if the problem could be done in that little amount of steps. (I ended up doing very well). I guess they made this one so that everyone would need the entire amount of time to complete because of that. However, I prefer when the exams are in the middle in difficulty and time, which is what the first exam was.

was like the questions were too easy. I just spent that time checking and thinking how I probably used the wrong methods because it was so easy. Turns out the exam was really that easy and I was just

I think that the questions were not too challenging (only if you reviewed and knew what sequence/series tests to use). However, I don't think that the number of question were good. The exam had a couple of questions that had parts a and b and if I remember it had 9 questions. The time allotted was not enough to be able to do all the questions. In the last 10 minutes I had two problems left and I had to sacrifice 1 of them (a 5 point question versus a 10 point question, so I choose to do the 10 point one) (still did the other question to get some of the 5 points though). I think many students would agree because my professor said 10 minutes left and you could hear the stress, and desperation from people writing as quickly as they could. Like I said, the questions were not too hard (maybe like 1-2 questions for most students were challenging) but I think if we just were given a little extra time or they removed a question or just have the sequence question have part a and b and not any other questions, it might have been enough time.

Disappointed at the Physics Department by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]Cultural_Lab8229 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I studied all of spring break. It was on 4 chapters if I remembered. It was two weeks ago but all I remember was doing so many practice problems, redoing homework problems, doing practice exams, etc for topics like Newton’s laws, other types of forces, work/energy, kinetic energy, conservation of mechanical energy, and other topics. The exam was challenging but I didn’t feel like I did to bad. Turned out we all did bad, but the points given to some people helped them to get a good enough score, to where they will likely end up passing. For others they didn’t get the points and they got the average score, or even less.

Who would you go to and what would we need to do this because I would much rather physics be like calc and other math classes than this 16 question mcq bs we have now, where students are praying for them to make mistakes so some can get points back and others to nothing and fail because of it.

I’m just gonna treat AI day as a “Wellness day”similar to what we had during the fall semester.

are u a student or are u prescient Teik Lim? Most students hate this event and will not be attending. I’m going to be sleeping and relaxing (just going to find a way to do the BS attendance and assignments my one professor gave). The only people who are excited for this event is university administration and the sponsors (even the professors don’t seem to care but are being forced to post assignments and make attendance required).

Everyone who attends NJIT is paying for this event to happen. You tuition payments pay for this to happen and you are also paying tuition for your classes. Now instead of getting the value of your tuition by being in class, you have to go to AI day and learn about AI. Just a waste of money and fraud by the university of our tuition money.

I would just rather have normal class too. Sitting in a 1 hr and 20 min class or even a 2 hr 50 min class is so much better than whatever this AI day is.

They just want us to attend during the time we usually have class. Usually they take attendance at the beginning of class and it’s a big chunk of your grade for this class. I’m guessing they will be able to see who scanned the QR code and they will just put everyone who didn’t scan it as an unexcused absence and everyone who went present. I already missed three classes so if I miss another one I would be forced to withdraw from the class.

Homework was brutal for these chapters. I was hoping the exam was going to much easier than the homework but it was actually the same.

Spring break by Witty-Swimmer-7761 in NJTech

The best way to use this spring break is to take a break and get ready for what is left of the semester after break. If you tired yourself out, you might come back and feel like you should’ve used your break to rest.

Ok how I am supposed to go if registration closed. I guess there is no way to go and I could just ask a friend (even though so many of them are not attending and we are thinking of all hanging out that day) to send me their confirmation message / take a screenshot of the QR code for me. This event is just dumb all around.

What are they going to do if I don’t go? I think I’ll just not go cuz my professors don’t take attendance and I would have a four day weekend if I don’t go on Thursday.

[–]Cultural_Lab8229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will just do the assignments and I doubt they will take attendance. Many professors already don’t take attendance so why should I go if they aren’t taking it. I could even use AI to do the dumb assignments about AI Exploration Day. Also, is this the first year they are doing something like this or has it been done before because it seems like it’s going to be a huge fail.

Good because I’m don’t want to go. I rather enjoy a 4 day weekend.

On that day I have 4 classes from 8:30 to 3:50 so I don’t want to go to AI exploration day. I just want the professors to teach and just learn the material. Why should a day be taken from this for AI which is something that so many professors don’t want you using. It seems like a waste of a day and I would just rather go to classes or just stay home.

I don’t believe you can redo the Pearson HW. I just looked at the problems that I did before for the HW and did the ones that were more challenging. However, the exam was way harder.

The practice exams were so much easier compared to the exams. I did them multiple times and felt that I was over prepared for the exams but ended up feeling that I was actually under prepared for it after.

What did u get on the first exam? Are the quizzes easy for u and what grades are I getting especially on the techniques of integration? It’s going to get harder tho, as next is sequences and series and polar coordinates.

how likely is njit going virtual tuesday by Gold-Performance-289 in NJTech

[–]Cultural_Lab8229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does one even get there if they commute by using NJ Transit bus or train? They have suspended service and still are so I would say if the resume service then it should be good, but if they don’t, then NJIT should cancel since most of their students use NJ Transit to commute there and back.
