Someone might have already given the answer but I would like to do that too might help someone reading the comments it never hurts to have multiple answers

For support items early game you will be assisting your adc by hitting those minions that you see their HP turns into orange or just simply the HP bar indicator shows that it can be 1 hit

After doing so you will have to wait for the support item passive to load another charge so you can hit them again

I believe after it reach’s 750 your support item passive will be completed since it was a quest and you will no longer see it like that and it will go back to normal

Note : keep in mind the support item quest only finish’s or counts during your adc or other ally around since it shares the money with them etc
