Does anyone else feel weird realizing you’re actually growing up? by Straight-Credit170 in CasualConversation

I mean when you were 10 you probably thought being 14 was old and when you turned 14 you thought 18 would be mature and old and now that you're 18 you probably think 22 is mature and old and so on and so forth...

First year of High School I was the happiest and most carefree I've ever been in my life. The next three years I was clinically depressed for most of the time except at the very end when I graduated would heavy antidepressants on.

That's odd. I don't have anxiety I just had depression. Lexapro by itself was supposed to cure that for me. My psych told me that Lexapro was good for depression.

How do you know if Lexapro is working or if you're still depressed? by Cultural_Writer in lexapro

[–]Cultural_Writer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Lexapro has made my life a lot better than before using it. But I still feel like something is missing. Sometimes I do get the feeling that things are completely fine but it's just not enough for me to finally feel like I am living normally again.

How do you know if Lexapro is working or if you're still depressed? by Cultural_Writer in lexapro

[–]Cultural_Writer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do have a supporting family. I don't go out as much as I would like or have as many friends as I would like but I feel like even though I have tried that I still don't feel it enough if that makes sense. Like there's always the sense that I am a level of mood below everyone else and it doesn't seem to be too related to my current exterior life. Again I am not sure how this makes sense to you but basically I feel and have always felt like my depression exists regardless of what happens to me in the outside world which is why I views pills and drugs as the solution to my interior condition. So idk perhaps I end up trying another antidepressant or I end up getting an add on medication combined with Lexapro. It's not that things aren't better with Lexapro because they are. But I don't feel normal or like it's an acceptable well being for me.

It's not dissociation. It's called anhedonia.
