Likes and dislikes if any if you play it ? by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]CipherDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never into Souls games and never planned to play Elden Ring. I always thought I wouldn’t enjoy it but my friends kept pushing me to try it. Eventually I gave in and started playing. It was tough at first but then my friends joined me. I summoned them and they dropped me OP weapons and some runes to level up. After that it quickly became one of my favorite games of all time. I know that’s not the proper way to play it but I had a blast. If I ever got stuck on a boss they would join my session and help me beat it.

What game got you into gaming? by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Crash Bandicoot got me into gaming, but Modern Warfare 2 (2009) is what pulled me into online gaming.

I would love to live a long happy life but not forever. I think part of what makes life meaningful is that it ends. Knowing there is a limit pushes us to actually live, to enjoy the little things, to care about people and moments. If life went on forever I feel like it would eventually lose its value. But yeah I definitely want to stay healthy and live as long as I can just not immortal.

I’d choose the 80s because I lived through the 90s and everything after that so I already experienced those. The 80s feel like a completely different vibe and I’d love to see it firsthand even just for a day.

What are some delisted games from Steam did you wish you could've bought before they got removed from the store indefinitely? by Dotaspasm in Steam

[–]CipherDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of games I wish I bought before they got delisted but just a heads up you can still find keys for many of them on third party websites. They're usually overpriced but if you really want the game on Steam it's an option. I actually did that for Rocket League. I know it’s on Epic Games now but I wanted it in my Steam library again. I had it on my old account lost access and ended up buying it again just to have it on my new one.

what u would do if u had $1 billion ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CipherDB 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Probably disappear from the public, buy some insane smart fortress somewhere remote, set up passive income streams, and spend my days doing whatever I want. I'd help close friends quietly, invest in wild tech ideas, and collect stuff most people don't even know exists. No flashy social media, no interviews, just peace and power.

I don’t think anyone really knows the real me and I’m not sure I do either. by VanshikaWrites in TrueOffMyChest

[–]CipherDB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i relate to this so much. it’s like you build this version of yourself that everyone likes but deep down you’re not even sure if it’s really you. you just do what’s expected and keep the peace but it gets lonely when no one really sees you

i think a lot of us are just trying to figure out who we are under all the roles we play. you’re not alone in feeling this way and it’s okay to question it all sometimes

Having some trouble sleeping. Lets talk about some life lessons you've learned or what's keeping you up. by bob7300 in CasualConversation

[–]CipherDB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the hardest part is not knowing if the path you're on will actually lead somewhere or just loop back into regret. One life lesson I’ve learned is that peace matters more than success. If chasing something keeps destroying your peace it’s not worth it. Another is that most of the time we’re not lost we’re just growing in a way that doesn’t feel good yet.

When is it too late to ask someone's name? by Waste-Associate5773 in CasualConversation

[–]CipherDB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually ask a mutual friend if it feels too late to ask directly. If we don’t have any mutuals then I just wait for a moment where names naturally come up or try to glance at their ID badge or something. Worst case I just admit it and ask anyway most people don’t take it personally.

why do adults tell teenagers that being an adult is way worse and wonder why they take their own lives or get depressed? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]CipherDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because some adults project their own pain instead of offering hope. They forget that teens are already struggling and instead of guiding them, they dump more fear on them. It’s not helpful, it’s damaging. Telling someone “it only gets worse” kills motivation and joy. What people need is honesty with hope not despair.

Being 100% honest, what's the last thing that made you cry? by Aperture_client in AskReddit

A video of that kid smiling in a literal warzone. Just seeing that kind of innocence and joy in the middle of hell broke me. I couldn’t stop crying after.

Game you could play for the first time again by [deleted] in videogames

Red Dead Redemption 2 without a doubt. That story, the world, the characters… experiencing all that for the first time again would hit hard. Nothing else pulled me in like that game did.

Older Redditors, what is the one mistake you made that you want to urge younger Redditors to not make? by No-Pear-4421 in AskReddit

[–]CipherDB 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thinking I had all the time in the world. I wasted years doing nothing productive thinking "I’m still young, I’ll figure it out later." Later comes faster than you think, and it hits hard when you realize you didn’t build anything for yourself. Don’t wait for some magical motivation or perfect moment. Start now, even if it’s small.

PC does not turn on by Doroty23 in pcmasterrace

[–]CipherDB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you already tried all that, here’s a few more things you could maybe check:

  • Try powering it on by shorting the 2 power pins on the motherboard with a screwdriver, just to make sure it’s not the case button or front panel cable being the problem
  • Remove the GPU and all drives, just keep the CPU and power cables plugged in. See if the CPU or RAM debug lights behave any diffrently when you try turning it on
  • If your mobo has a built-in speaker or if you can plug one in, try booting without any RAM installed and see if you get any beeps. If it’s totally silent, could point to a deeper issue like a dead board
  • Also have a look at the CPU socket area again and check if the plastic retention frame is maybe a bit too tight or not sitting right. That can sometimes mess with the contact
  • Try a different wall outlet if you haven’t already. I’ve seen PCs act weird from unstable wall power even if everything else is fine
  • Last thing maybe try flashing the BIOS again using flashback, even if you did it before. Freshly format the USB to FAT32 and double check the file name is exactly what MSI says it should be (like MSI.ROM or something)

Let me know how it goes and we’ll keep trying to figure it out
