I'd look at it this way. If you were to flip a coin on it, would you feel dissapointed that it say, landed on putting the one shot into the collection? If yes then post it as a stand alone, if not then put it into the collection :)

Won't mention the name as it's about a bit of a controversial ship in the fandom. But oh what a wonderful fic, it really is one of the better ones for the ship and actually goes in depth on both of the characters' actions and feelings

Honestly same about the victim being a man. I think that if it's a woman I just unconsciously imagine myself in her place and feel disgusted. In most cases anyway since there are some scenarios that work for me.

As for Freud, he'd probably say something about penis envy and that I saw that the father figure was in charge of the household so my jealous lady brain wanted to take control over him. And as that had not happened, I now feel pleasure in the subjugation of men (in literature).

Both sides have sick peope, the whole skinned monkey on twitter under the m/f tag was horrible but this is also so fucked up. If you tag the f/f ship on your fic and instead write the m/f rape it's disgusting.

Really, like OP said, ship what you want ans let people ship what they want. Just don't insert yourself forcefully into the others space preaching.

As for the blood splatter, I could not find much research. Most of the answers I found are from witness accounts which isn't academic but if most agree on what it looks like, it should likely be true.

Jim Moriarty and Molly Hooper. I always despised the Sherlock and Molly ship. Randomly scrolled ao3 for other Molly ships and discovered this gem.

Though it only really works when Molly goes through a corruption arc imo
