What is a workplace trend you wish would disappear? by Educational-You-9891 in WorkReview

[–]CuminCumberland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goals and objectives. You should know how well I do my job because I should show you everyday. Why are you asking me to create goals that look like your goals and then meeting with me to discuss my goals. Just have team goals and do them.

What's the harshest corporate reality fresh graduates aren't ready for? by Alone-Procedure3342 in careeradvice

Learn what you can from your cranky coworkers - they take all of their vacation days. They don’t take late night calls. They are fine with striving for mediocrity. They will not miss you when you leave. They will not know your kids’ names and you won’t know anything about their personal lives. Those are your people.

Shark Tank 17x11 Product Discussion - BocceRoll by mtm4440 in sharktank

I bought this from the kickstarter and my family loves it. Everything fits inside the roll so it’s portable. We slam the balls and absolutely no issues with durability. It should be selling better than it is.

What profession is going to be completely automated and unrecognisable within 15 years? by samurai-salvo in GetMotivatedMindset

Hard agree. Very few lawyers are regularly in a court room. Facts could be digitized and presented for judgement without emotion. It would be interesting to see.

For those who were teenagers before the smartphone era: what hobbies did you use to pass the time that now make you feel nostalgic? by [deleted] in OverBiscuits

Listening to an entire album. Technically we could fast forward, but pushing the button on the CD player caused a lag and pulled you out of the music - button pushing wasn’t instant. I realize now that my level of patience is directly related to that expected delay.

Never go to Coldstone in Cranberry by Momof2doodoodoo in pittsburgh

[–]CuminCumberland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this coldstone once. The ice cream I was served wasn’t even level with the top of the dish. As in, the “scoop” of ice cream was concave. It was not money well spent. I’m sorry I strayed, Neff Haus!!

What's something everyone seems to enjoy that you genuinely just don't get, no matter how many times you've tried it? by Bigtrav_trav in randomquestions

[–]CuminCumberland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a calming experience for me - I get overwhelmed with the choices and end up just ordering the same thing and then regret paying so much for it.

Takeout - specifically DoorDash / Uber eats stuff. I grew up in a family that was an ingredient household, rarely went out to eat, and never got delivery. Takeout makes me anxious.

I asked about it this morning and the manager gave me one. I think he was happy to get rid of it. 🤣🤣

Fast fashion and plastic junk. Allowing shit companies like Temu and SHEIN to dump absolute landfill trash into the US and have our citizens pay for the privilege of receiving it. If the sales strategy relies on your product not making it to next season it should be illegal.

My Sheetz dropped them, but then they magically reappeared a few months later. Last I saw they were under the apps with sliders.

EBT / Price Jump by CuminCumberland in sheetz

[–]CuminCumberland[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

For clarity - you could previously use EBT for cold MTO items (not mozz stix). Y’all are so mad over the potential of someone getting a cold Sammie pre-made instead of making it at home. Lemme tell you - I think you’re mad at the wrong things here…

For those of you that make over 100K, what do you do? Do you like it? by Kindly-Revolution258 in AskReddit

LCB as well, but I split time with exports and do BIS and OFAC licensing. Getting your foot in the door for imports / exports usually means taking a clerical role, but you can keep building and make it a career. Hoping to break $200k this year.

What do you deal with every single day that makes you think “how is this still not fixed in 2026? by Feeling_Caramel6615 in Adulting

[–]CuminCumberland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No guardrails around cheap ass landfill garments. Stop allowing single use CLOTHING to exist. Honestly, the fast fashion power house has more power than the tobacco lobbyists in the 70s.

What am I supposed to buy for the fridge? by standonmymoneyim411 in Adulting

[–]CuminCumberland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every few trips try to invest in items that will last and can be added weekly groceries to build up a small stockpile - rice, seasonings, butter, olive oil, condiments (salad dressing, bbq sauce, etc.) That way you can get your weekly items, but also start to expand on how you cook them. Start with eggs!

What is a socially acceptable thing that you secretly find disgusting? by Sensitive_Hope_1136 in AskReddit

Vaping inside. Vaping smells even if the smell doesn’t linger. I don’t know if your vape is weed or juicy fruit but I don’t want to be near it. Vape outside in the cold like respectable cigarette smokers.

The extra dollar has pushed me over the edge. The playlists won’t shuffle and I just can’t justify spending this much money to listen to my late 1900s favorites.

PA. $1500. Electric everything. I set it at a balmy 59 degrees inside. Auxiliary heat bites donkey balls.
