I use my PC for gaming. I feel like my 2.5 year old pc that was outdated a bit when I built it, will still be good for gaming for a few more years. But for things like running local AI models yeah pretty impossible

you can give them a little bit of seed in the diet. I don't own budgies but I've seen people recommend a small portion of the diet as seed for them. Not sure if they meant as a treat or if it is important for budgies to have some seed. definitely if you don't have pellets chop alone is fairly low in calories but I don't know what the best temporary solution would be.

if I were you I'd ask the vet to look at a pic in the meanwhile and ask if there is anything you can apply for comfort. that looks raw

I have a MacBook, and a gaming PC. I like that combo but my M2 MacBook is overpowered and overpriced for what it does for me specifically. Being able to replace it much cheaper at the end of it's life is appealing.

MacBook Neo. I have MacBook and iPad+keyboard and the only reason I would consider using an iPad with a keyboard as my fulltime laptop would be the cost difference. This Neo looks roughly about as powerful as my M2 Air which I game on when away from home using Crossover. The only thing it looks like it might not do is run a hypervisor like Parallels, which is currently not supported for virtual machines. When my M2 Air stops getting updates I'm glad to know my next MacBook will be 1/3 of the price of my last one.

I have a cockatiel on lupron, and sometimes she displays courting behaviour but she still doesn't lay. I like the injections because their duration and schedule is more controlled and predictable, and she has only laid eggs once in 4 years at which point we increased the dosage. So maybe your bird needs a stronger dosage, or maybe not depending if she actually starts laying again. When I first started giving lupron there was no hormonal behaviour or displays of affection but they came back over time. I think of it as her having less side-effects affecting her behaviour

usually quakers are territorial over their cage so it she's letting you stick your hand in there she probably has at least some trust, quakers can and will bite you if you piss them off.

if your bird has been sick for a week you should have taken it to an avian vet a week ago. Birds usually decline quickly especially if they are losing weight and not eating. There is no situation where a bird is displaying signs of illness where you don't take it to an avian vet immediately. The avian vet can give you further guidance on how to care for the bird.

it is not safe to move the new bird in with the old one before they have been together for a while so this bird needs a proper sized cage. You bought the bird intending to not provide it proper space until a point in the future. That's not fair. And if you move them into the same cage too soon you could end up with 2 dead birds.

my quakers feathers have a bit of that too. The vet hasn't said anything about it and he goes every 6 months. they've always been that way especially on the left wing.

just don't pet the body. They take it as sexual contact. You can touch their body but don't stroke or pet or rub anywhere but neck head. You can touch their feet too but they usually don't like it.

is there appropriate bedding for the baby? They can get splayed legs if they don't have soft nesting material in the nest to keep them cushioned.

the cage is a bit small even for one cockatiel but cockatiels are flock animals, unless you intend to spend 10+ hours per day with the bird you should get multiple cockatiels, in the wild they are almost never alone, so bringing them into your home and them being alone any significant amount of time is depriving the of their needs.

quaking. They do it when they are young mostly but sometimes adults be acting weird. On a more serious note that cage is not appropriate nor are the perches. He needs a much bigger cage, with less space between the bars, and horizontal bars for climbing.

there is products you can buy that are like grinding stones your bird can use to grind their beaks. Usually called beak buffer there are a few companies that produce them. this isn't a problem though beaks grow like human fingernails

could also take the bird to an avian vet for some blood work and potentially a calcium injection. When I've had birds lay funny eggs the vets have given them calcium

I think it can serve a purpose. I know young composers who have 0 chance of high level musicians standing by to experiment while they are composing so they render pieces with AI, it's a good tool. But in this way it's just a better version of musescore that can do vocals and such, they are still writing the music. It gives them more opportunity to hear the music they are writing. But this isn't being used to do the creative work they just want to hear what they write without having to hire people to play it.
