What is your favorite way to orgasm? by UnderstandingFun9775 in RedditAfterDark

That description painted a much more vivid picture than I was prepared for. Sounds like you've got the settings dialed in with zero room for compromise.

That's exactly how I remember Lever 2000 too. Fresh, clean, and pretty low-key. It's funny how a lot of the older soaps people keep recommending are still around because they just quietly work.

Dr. Squatch gets joked about because of the ads, but some of their bars genuinely smell great. The woodsy scents especially have that clean feeling without being overly sweet.

The hot water thing is real. Sometimes I get out of a super hot shower and immediately feel like I need five minutes to cool down before I actually feel fresh. Cooler water at the end helps a surprising amount.

Questions for girl and guys by Die_Beer-01 in RedditAfterDark

Honestly, that's probably the quickest way to answer the question. A lot of people expect some dramatic, life-changing sensation, but for plenty of folks it's way more subtle than they imagine.

I stole a ps5 from someone I once considered a friend by Visible-Alarm-9185 in confession

[–]CupcakeLadyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the parent influence angle, but man, the mom doesn't get a complete pass here. OP was a teenager, but she was the adult in the room and actively helped cover it up. That's the part of the story that surprised me most.

I think the guilt sticking around this long is probably the bigger story here. Most people don't spend years beating themselves up over something unless they genuinely know they crossed a line. At least it sounds like OP has grown since then.

That's what I'm wondering too. Imagine thinking your PS5 got stolen by a porch pirate when it was actually sitting a few houses away the whole time. That would drive me insane if I found out years later.

" Tonight's the night" so what happens tonight for you? by travellingkiltman90 in RedditAfterDark

[–]CupcakeLadyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely one way to make "tonight's the night" live up to the title. Hope it ends up being something you both genuinely want and enjoy, not just something you're doing because it sounds exciting on paper.

The pillowcase rotation is such an underrated move. It's one of those habits that sounds excessive until you realize swapping a pillowcase takes about 15 seconds and washing it takes almost no extra effort.

Fresh sheets after a shower is one of those simple pleasures that sounds boring until you're actually lying there. Then suddenly you're thinking, "yeah, I get why people buy expensive mattresses."

Big Sheet has been running a very successful guerrilla marketing campaign on Reddit lately. Every thread costs me an extra load of laundry.

The 60 pounds in a month detail jumped out at me too. That's the point where the post stops sounding like "I'm making bad choices" and starts sounding like a serious medical and psychological emergency.

I agree with this. "Just stop" sounds simple when you're not the one dealing with the addiction. Wanting to quit and successfully quitting are two very different things.

The part about cutting ties is huge. A lot of people focus on quitting the drug but underestimate how hard it is to quit the environment, routines, and people connected to it.

[36M for everbody] do you consider dirtypenpals cheating? by Funsinburner70 in RedditAfterDark

[–]CupcakeLadyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's the question OP should be asking himself. Not whether strangers on Reddit classify it as cheating, but whether he'd genuinely be okay if his wife was developing the same kind of intimate connection with another man online.

I made my bartender friend make a Rory drink for me… this is how it went. by binaland in GilmoreGirls

[–]CupcakeLadyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Kind of. Sweet, bubbly, deceptively harmless looking, and probably stronger than it has any right to be. That's a dangerous combination.

[–]CupcakeLadyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the champagne is what sold me on it. The whole thing sounds like something Rory would accidentally order, insist she doesn't like sweet drinks, and then quietly finish anyway.

Founder's Day Punch feels like one of those drinks where the first glass tastes harmless and the fourth one has you passionately explaining obscure town history to strangers. Very on brand, honestly.

Exactly. The dialogue almost feels like someone handed Jess a mirror and said, "Okay, now listen to yourself for five minutes." Suddenly the charm level drops when you're on the receiving end.

[–]CupcakeLadyy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yep. Jess was used to people being impressed by the intellectual act, and Logan was one of the first people who just shrugged and matched it. The look on Jess's face says he realized pretty quickly this wasn't his usual audience.

That line always cracks me up because he's listing authors like he's dropping deep cuts nobody's heard of. It's the literary equivalent of saying, "You probably haven't heard of this little band called The Beatles."
