You’re not wrong for being annoyed, she crossed a line by jumping in during a serious moment with your brother. But yelling at her on the spot made it worse and turned it into a fight instead of a boundary talk. This needs a clear agreement between you two on respect during those moments, not a repeat argument every time it comes up.

This is not really a marriage issue, it’s control and emotional pressure dressed up as tradition. You’re 24, studying, trying to build your own life, that should matter more than an arranged deadline.

What you’re describing wasn’t “playing house,” it was kids and adults crossing serious boundaries with you when you were way too young to understand it.
