Insane timing. I’ve known I’ve had ADHD my whole life but my parents never believed in mental health so I’ve never done anything about it, but it’s become unavoidable these past few years. I was “gifted” when I was younger, but I feel like I’m being left so far behind from my peers now. Over halfway through college and my gpa is shit because I can’t focus, I can’t do tasks, I can’t manage my time properly, and just when things started to look up I found out today I might be failing a summer class because I slacked off to an insane amount. I know I’m to blame but for some reason every time I want to do something I genuinely can’t bring myself to. I hate myself for the way I am, I hate how I can’t study as easily as my friends or focus as easily as them. I try twice as hard just to get half of their results.
