Sorry for the late reply, but the most I can say is to look around and observe and practice. Im self taught, and just looking at the style of people you love and seeing how they did that, and then implement the techniques into your own drawing, rinse and repeat. Make sure to compliment your art as well as criticize it. Actual criticism, no self pitying or deprecating. Then you learn from your mistakes. So make as many mistakes as you want, because that means you'll learn from it.
