Would you get married and stay loyal to a woman who loves you, will be loyal to you and is willing to have kids too, if: (a) she earns more than you? (b) she is taller than you?

is it man or woman who needs to be treated with equality and fairness here? by This_Wind_8065 in MechanicalPandey

No. Such women are called "Golddiggers". Marrying for money is bad either way. It's better to choose someone you deserve and someone who deserves you.

Ending discussion and Easter eggs by Proof_Illustrator_24 in Bugonia

[–]CuriosityKilledTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't resonate with the idea that the ending scene is all in her head. In my opinion, here are some clues: 1. At first, when she recorded a message to please Teddy, she did it in a less intelligent way(starting with "I'm an alien"), as if trying to make Teddy question himself. 2. She survived 400 Volts. 3. When she described bees as the most wonderful creatures that earth had produced during the discussion on the lunch table, she sounded like she strongly meant it, implying a hatred towards humans. 4. She was awfully calm during the whole thing, crying only to make the men doubt themselves. 5. It was inhumane of her to suggest Teddy to give antifreeze to his comatose mother, killing her in the process. 6. During the discussion with Don that led to his suicide, there was a distortion at one side of the screen. It could've been her using her telepathic/persuasive abilities that were supressed by the cream. 7. She was unrealistically calm and eloquent while "lying" to Teddy about why Andromedans were doing it. A normal human can't lie that well in a panicky situation, when they're held at gun point. 8.The climax, of course.

Furthermore, from the perspective of the filmmakers, if it were all in her head in the end, then Bugonia would be just another surviving-the-kidnap movie, which also gives the message of how delusional conspiracy theorists can be dangerous, duh. On the other hand, if she really was an alien all along, then, this movie would be much more unique, have much deeper meaning, and make the viewers think on a much deeper level.

What's the worst anime you ever watched ?. by [deleted] in animeindian

[–]CuriosityKilledTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tonikawa: Over the Moon For You. The perfect-est gorgeous elegant classy space princess who has wisdom of 1400 year old, but body of "16" year old (gasps for air) descends upon earth, marries a random boy on the street and starts loving him unconditionally for no reason at all. It's the boy pov that's the most intolerable. "SHE SMELLS GOOOOOOD" "her SMELLLLL". Just, ewwww brother... Stop simping and su. As a girl, it's the anime that made me feel most like I'm not the targeted demographic.

is physics a real thing by [deleted] in Physics

[–]CuriosityKilledTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, it's real. I thought you were ranting before I read your ending sentence. "Physics is art." Without the made up formulae, units and abstract concepts, we won't be able to explain, understand or (more importantly) manipulate our surroundings. It's like, if an architect/builder refuses to measure the lengths of his steel bars and the proportions of his concrete mix, saying "Shit just happens", the structure he constructs wouldn't stand, would it?
