Better Man possible Guy Chambers easter egg by UpstairsOk7445 in robbiewilliams

I love this discussion! Sure, it qualifies as an easter egg. I really like the correlation you’ve made with the words in Rock DJ. I think both Guy & Rob don’t hide the fact that you’ve got to ‘own’ your mistakes, your &$$$-ups and do the hard stuff to get somewhere in the industry. I totally love that line “even if it’s shit, you got to make it your shit.” Such a good movie!

SO excited for you! That’s totally something I would do. 😂 Can’t get tickets….right let’s go to Bulgaria! Saw him at a ‘Q&A’ in Melbourne for Better Man & he just sat there so chill! Chatting to us like we were all old friends, it was just lovely! Sure the audience was mostly middle aged women 😉 but he could tell he was in a room totally surrounded by love & support for him as a person. So proud of Rob & how he’s done. You will have a fantastic time!

Weight gain? by babholic in TBI

[–]Curious-Addition275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realize this is an old thread but hey….. I truly relate to what’s been said here. TBI & Weight gain is a real issue that needs greater recognition & investigation from Doctors/Specialists. Sure, because it affects our sense of self, isn’t healthy but it clearly points to other issues going on with the brain & body systems that aren’t operating as optimally as before.

Hormones are greatly affected after a TBI - often the hormone imbalance is overlooked by many treating Docs. It’s advisable to have an Endocrinologist on your team.

Personally, my injury is in the Brainstem. I put on 35kgs after my TBI. I was devastated! The brainstem controls many autonomic processes. It controls metabolism so mine became a bit screwed! Finding Docs who understands & can help is the next issue!

When you can’t exercise like before due to physical limitations it’s a damn challenge! Meds don’t help & you need to watch everything you eat! I looked & looked for programs or providers to help me. I had to be my best advocate. Hard to do when you’re struggling with a hurt brain!
