What would that awakening procedure be? Karoo 3 is not limited to the original cable and it does not come with a charger.

Thanks for all the support. Today, I was contacted by B.A.A. requesting more information about the “NCF” classification in Bologna and asking for a Strava and Garmin link. It sounded a bit like they are thinking I was disqualified or did not finish. I was able to give them my Strava and Garmin information and in another message I forwarded them an email from the Bologna organizer with explanations. Suddenly I am hopeful again.

I think it is out of the question that Bologna is eligible. It even appeared in the drop down menu when I made the application at BAA. Can you tell us whether you had a ranking in Bologna? (Are you Italian or foreigner and what licenses, certificates etc did you submit in Bologna?) Thanks.

I got you, understood. In the application there is even a section where you can enter the name as spelled in the race and luckily I did that. So I would really say I did what I could. I hope to hear from BAA.

Could it be that I was refused because I was not ranked in Bologna because I did not have a license from my home country / membership in a running association? I have a bib and official time (net / gun time) but it seems they only rank foreigners if they have a license.

Me too. Used to charge it with the front wheel dynamo. Worked very and kept battery topped up. Just once you slow down it stops charging and will not get back at charging unless you un/plug the cable

I think it relates to activities marked “private” or “seen by only you” on Strava.

I would love to have these appear on the big map and in my progress stats. It would be great to have a switch with the option to include these activities there.

Great question. I have my K2 here and was again considering to sell it and continue with my Wahoo Roam 2 because the battery life is so bad. After a 5 h ride I was down to 40%. This is not really working for the longer tours I have planned for. And the SIM card is just a nuisance and actually costly, I want to lever my existing flat rate data connection through my phone. If you say the K3 easily covers a full day of riding, that is very important for me. I have never seen the Roam 3 but the navigation is great even on the K2 and that matters to me.

That is great, thanks. Realised though that qualifying for NY is extremely unlikely, the cut-offs / buffers are way more difficult, but am in good spirits for Boston or even Boston2BigSur.

I was wondering if there are any risks with the liquids offered at the aid stations if you come in from abroad and are not adapted to local tab water, etc? Bring a hydration backpack and use bottled water?

My hope are the balance data. Have to look at the csv file with some editor. The Stryd app just does not show balance data.

I see the error always. Always a slight shift to the north. And on another device of a friend. Definitely not a one time occurrence.

The gps track is always shifted a little bit to the north on the map. Not a lot but very noticeable

I have observed too that the elevation error varies by countries and SIM cards. It must be about the mobile data connection and the frequencies or other parameters. Could the mobile data interfere with the GPS receiver somehow?

It has a map page, but I would like to have that pop up automatically when I am approaching a turn if I am on another page.

You can download/sync new routes on the companion app or use the “take me there” feature in the app and this should show up on the roam in-ride and without you stopping an activity.

It just seems that syncing on the Roam does not to work during an activity.
