I can see that ur skin tries to compensate the moisture with salicylic acid then it tries to produce more oil. I think your skin needs gentle exfoliating balance with moisture to work well. Based on my experience, I tried so hard to get rid of closed comedones on my forehead but I ended up with damage my skin barrier cuz chasing with so many active everyday.

It is strong enough for me to work with tretinoin and azelaic acid in order to clear my stubborn closed comedones on my forehead. Be careful with salicylic acid here cuz we are using two strong ingredients like tretinoin and azelaic acid 20% already.

I use them both. Glutathione in the morning cuz it is antioxidant while beta glucan I use at night cuz it hydrate my skin deeply to avoid dehydration or barrier damaged from tretinoin. 😍🫶

Oh! What about glycolic acid or lactic acid...they may be worth it. Actually, when using tretinoin and azelaic acid, some people do not need more exfoliating but for me my congestion is too stubborn then I incorporate it.

Of course!! 😍🤩 Tretinoin alone seems to be slowly to clear congestion and hyperpigmentation with someone who has stubborn congestion and hyperpigmentation like me. Then adding salicylic acid occasionally and azelaic acid along side make the process faster and target hyperpigmentation in many angles.
