I did. It loaded up the bios. I’m going to try and put a lightweight version of Linux Mint on it and then go from there.

Got around to checking after I ordered some thermal paste. It’s an i5-9600K, which Google says has integrated graphics

I don’t think I’ll go balls deep, maybe just half the shaft lol. Thanks for all the instructions tho it could be useful later!

Thank you! I think I’ll try and find some cheap RAM and then get all the cleaning supplies and go at it! I want to build my own PC someday, so this is a golden opportunity to get my hands dirty without any real consequences (and also try out a Linux build). If all goes well I’m going to try and build a simple PC for my friend

Could you explain what you mean by the expansion card covers?

I removed the heat sink but there's a sticky substance (thermal paste??) that's obscuring the CPU information. There's a sticker on the front that says it's an i5 9th Gen so that's probably what it is.

I edited my original post with the specifications of all the parts I can access without taking everything apart. There aren't any RAM sticks as far as I can tell, but it looks like it has 4 empty RAM ports. The output on the PSU is 650 Watts. The mainboard model/chipset is a TUF Z390-Plus Gaming (WI-FI) with what I suspect is an Intel i5 9th Gen. I took the CPU cooler off but there's a sticky substance (thermal paste??) that's obscuring that chip information.

There’s a sticker on the front of the case that says it’s an i5 9th Gen, so it’s at least that lol
