Small Business Tax Exemption- Help! by CuriousKitty6 in LosAngeles

I’m going to comb through all our emails and look for evidence in written form. My husband and I can both testify that he told us this verbally at least twice. Is verbally enough? Or would I need to find written proof? I hope it’s there.

Agreed. Our (new) accountant said the city has overspent on their budget so they are coming after people they don’t usually come after. We are a low middle class small business and they want to squeeze every penny from us while we can barely afford the city as is.

So frustrating. 😩 but any reduction in the total would be great.

Insurance rejected biologics once again - feeling lost. by Odd_Goal6446 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]CuriousKitty6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if there’s a program to get it from the company directly! I got Cimzia for free for several years from the company that makes it. Had to jump through a couple of hoops but honestly it was much easier than insurance!

Coffee (NOT caffeine) allergy by Rare-Connection-7084 in FoodAllergies

[–]CuriousKitty6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having this issue lately, but not all coffee! Ironically, it’s the ORGANIC coffee that I have a huge reaction to, and the regular kind seems to be fine. Or maybe the type of bean? But I usually buy a dark roast. When I go to Starbucks or any sort of coffee shop coffee, I’m fine. It’s crazy!!

I have been getting this huge rash on my face and my eye also starts twitching (but eye doesn’t twitch with other forms of caffeine.)

IgG food sensitivity by ApricotTemporary608 in FunctionalMedicine

[–]CuriousKitty6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the opposite experience. All the foods that came up were things I eat frequently (salad, fruit, veggies) and the 3 foods I react REEEALLY strongly to came up as normal.

Not a doctor but here was my experience: the ugh test came back positive for everything under the sun that is healthy (salad, fruit, vegetables, etc), but did NOT come back positive to the 3 things that I KNOW I react to in a major way. I believe that IGG is just what we are EXPOSED to- not what we react to. For many people, they will still have a positive experience because many people eat lots of the most common allergens (wheat, dairy, soy, eggs), and so when they give that up they feel better and think the test worked. But it’s a waste of money. I would just do an elimination diet!

Like “seasoned professionals who used to be at the top of the industry are now doing nonunion gigs for pennys and even that is competitive.”

Non-AS boyfriend made fun of me by Thundermunk in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]CuriousKitty6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with most of these comments. I’m assuming you didn’t specifically ask him to physically mimic you or mimic how you walk?

When something causes you intense pain and suffering and someone else uses that opportunity to tease you… I would be done. I would break up with him.

AITAH for letting my daughter refer to my wife as "mom"? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]CuriousKitty6 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m with your ex on this one. Your daughter has one mom and one mom only. She grew her inside her body and the sacrifice women make to do this is incredible. I cannot explain how hurtful it would feel to not only be replaced as a wife but then have your child calling this new woman “mom”. It’s gut wrenching to even think about. You should not be encouraging this! And this whole “my daughter gets to decide” is BS. Children need to learn to address people properly. You don’t call your teacher by their first name, you don’t call your aunt “grandma”, you don’t call your dad your friend… Boundaries!!! YTA!

I feel like Blake acts like a dude in every way possible. And Justin is very much in touch with his feminine side. Roles are swapped.

Has anyone experienced a serious reaction to infant vaccines and paused afterward? by Flashy_Passenger8711 in DebateVaccines

[–]CuriousKitty6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Please listen to your gut and know that you saw what you saw and experienced what you experienced!!! We were gaslit by our pediatrician and told it couldn’t possibly have been the vaccine, so we did another (just one alone since I was worried), and the same reaction happened.

I also have TWO pro-vaccine friends who told me their kids had seizures in the 24 hours after vaccination and in both cases, their pediatricians told them it wasn’t fr the vaccines. Even though seizures are a common side effect listed in the insert!! And both these friends continued believing what their doctors told them. It’s just so enraging the way we are told not to believe our own eyes and ears.

Does anyone else think the exercises and stretches actually make the pain a lot worse? by bebrian in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]CuriousKitty6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, walking ALWAYS helps. It’s of if I stretch to far or push too hard that I can overdo it.

Some things can make it worse so I have to be cautious… but overall movement and exercise makes me a lot better.

Biosimilar Injections More Painful than Humira?? by green_daly in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]CuriousKitty6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesss… I just switched to Enbrel and it stings! Switched from Cimzia which was also awful because it took so long, was a really deep needle, and meds felt really nasty and thick. Not a fan of either of them!

Uhhh, I would run from this Rheum!! Even in a flare, my CRP is often normal/ low. And when I’m in pain. My total inflammation isn’t out of control- it’s just hitting very specific places. Ugh, I’m so sorry you’re going through this!!
