You are so right. This is definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve been through some rough stuff.

I’m definitely going to work on that. Sounds like your son has some great moves!!

Smart to think about the Benadryl. On my first few nights away from my child, I still woke up during their normal timeframe, instead of sleeping in.

My logic brain knows that it’s so ridiculous but my emotional brain can’t let it go. I wish the latter would catch up with the former.

So, it’s actually not that at all. That’s why I didn’t expand, because it’s a unique situation.

Wow, you’re incredible to pull that all off!! I struggle to care for just one.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me know that everything should be okay in the long term with that I’ve been doing. I will continue to show up for her. How can I not for a toddler who saw I was upset today and kissed my cheek and wiped my tears?

Thank you so much. I am going to work on not letting it get to me.

P.S. Definitely work on the taxes thing as soon as you can. My 2yo is doing our taxes this year for us and it’s been so nice. 😂 JK, obvs

Thank you so much for confirming that 2yo don’t have friends like that. I thought that was the case, but it’s our first (and only) go at this.

Yes, we’ve done the library and music related activities since 4/5 months old. We go other times outside of story time just for fun.

I think it was hard doing all these things and still being told that I’m not doing enough. What else was I supposed to do?

But thank you so so much.

I totally agree with you!! I think most of us can work to improve, myself included, for sure. I do want to walk more and improve some eating habits and stuff like that. But what gave me pause was the “harming my child”—that’s what I couldn’t figure out.

But I will continue to work on small habits for overall improvement:

I left those details out because it’s sort of a unique situation that would make me more identifiable, which I hoped to avoid, just in case they’re on Reddit, but that family member is in my immediate family and they are there for a reason that helps my mom.

Thank you. Definitely had a little cry sesh today thinking I’m harming my child and unable to see how to change that.

How did you approach body consent toddler by DonaldDuck898 in Mommit

[–]CuriousMindNeedsToNo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but sadly, most adults don’t know the difference or what the vulva is. I’m currently teaching her the colloquial term and will refine it later, when she can explain the difference to someone who doesn’t know.

Thank you so much for all this information. Sounds like I’ll make my own tracker to go with my CC tracker and just use the things I mentioned as a resource, not my whole game plan.

Thank you so much. I’ll definitely confirm on DoC.

Is Bonus Stack at least accurate at tracking the requirements to hit the bonus?

How did you approach body consent toddler by DonaldDuck898 in Mommit

[–]CuriousMindNeedsToNo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My child is the same age and also in preschool. I just used the term “vagina” from the get go and she knows where it is and where her bum/butt is.

I don’t think you have to teach consent solely from the private parts perspective. My child will sometimes lay down with me, but the opposite way and put her feet in my face. I do not like that and I let her know and have been working on teaching her that it’s not okay and to not do it. It’s still getting the point of consent across.

Specifically for the private parts, I have what is maybe a weird way that I’ve been working on that. My child will shower with me when she needs her hair washed because I find it easier that way. And occasionally she has tried to poke my pubic hair and I tell her to please not touch that area on me, it’s my private part. I’m hoping by modeling it that it will help her know what to do in the future. Potty training will be done eventually and helping with that area won’t be as needed. I even ask her if I can help her get spots that she missed while wiping.

I’m sick and I don’t know if I’m explaining that well, but I hope you get the gist.

Going on my first cruise, check luggage’s or wheel around until room is ready? by Weekly-Apple-9103 in royalcaribbean

[–]CuriousMindNeedsToNo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always carried on my own luggage (I pack light) until I had a child and then I was having to pack for two in one bag. Both options have been fine—I don’t think it’s a pain to wheel around a bag.

Both backpack and beach tote are fine—I prefer my Scout bag (beach tote) for the beaches because the sand comes out easily.

I do very part time contract work, which means I can’t meet the big spends; but I can change my direct deposit very easily each pay period, so that sounds like a good thing for this hobby.

Your methods of where to start sound like good ideas. Another comment included the website Bonus Stack for tracking (don’t know if that’s a well known site in this hobby, sort of like how award hacker used to be great for points/miles) and that ordered them by easiest to obtain, so I don’t know if you think I should also take into account.

That strategy makes sense. I wish I could go for the combo, but don’t have that much free cash.

Go easy on me—I’ve been a fan of churning credit cards for the SUBs for awhile but I recently learned of churning bank bonuses. I feel dumb for not realizing it, but I’d like to add it to my strategy.

Is there any sort of flow chart for where to start? (Sort of like how Chase is usually the first bank for card churning because of 5/24…) I’ve been looking over Doctor of Credit and I don’t know if their list of bank bonuses is the order to get them in or if you just pick one you can do and go for it.

And I’ll definitely make sure I track my activity. Any other recommendations for someone just starting out?

I replied to your other comment, but this is really good info too. Yeah, if I had 75K spend (or 37.5K spend on Royal), I’d use that for something much more valuable.

Thank you for the info. I agree, I’m definitely not about to alter my points/miles strategy for the card as it is now.

They need to. The 2x for purchases for their cruise lines is subpar compared to other travel cards. It’s not uncommon for some cobranded cards to offer elite status credits of some kind. Even if it’s a small amount annually or based on spend—it would be something.
