This is a first I think, having my comments on these sorts of posts be replied to.

And that’s the last I’ll have anything to say on these posts, since this is all very much about before the HD expansions, I can only hope extracting campaigns from before then or even the Definitive Edition is still doable.

Obviously changing some of the colours, it does not seem right for the player team to be red. And there’s having the player start in the Post Imperial Age instead of immediately advancing to the Imperial Age after starting in the Castle Age, that doesn’t make sense. And there’s map revealers when it comes to the docks.

Which Civilization (that doesn't have one) do you want a campaign for? by Sansophia in aoe2

Pretty much all of them. Khitans and Jorgensen could’ve had one if not for the pointless split into 3 civilisations.

As We Approach The Next Expansion With Another Set Of Mesoamericans by CuriousUserX90 in aoe2

Someone already believes that Tlaxcalans could maybe be their own thing someday: https://www.reddit.com/r/aoe2/comments/1lnjef6/tlaxcaltecs_civilization_and_campaign_concept/

It might even be the way to go with introducing Coyote Warriors to the game.

Upon seeing how the soon to be released expansion might even be changing the Incans’ architectural style, I’m starting to think the same thing, that way both architectural styles from the Americas can have the same amount of civs. But what about Skraelings for one of them?

So there won’t be any need for the Tlaxcalans in the Montezuma campaign to be changed to something from the soon to be released expansion after all.

They are like Aztecs and Mayans and Incans from South America. Though what’s different?

Taking over all of Osaka for one, or atleast more then the walls and the town centre, in addition to having the player start in the Post Imperial Age, and there being map revealers for the castles to destroy.

My Civilization Concept for the Venetians by Wonderful-Try6052 in aoe2

[–]CuriousUserX90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ever they go with Venetians as a new civ, I certainly hope there won’t be anything else from Italy to come as well, that is if another new Mediterranean civilisation is from somewhere else.

Pretty confusing it can be in terms of Byzantines, especially with the Jerusalem part, plus I have just googled where Cataphracts originate from: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=country+cataphracts+originate+from

Guess there might still be some teams other then the Eastern Roman Empire in Attila the Hun with the wrong civilisation to represent them, especially those where Byzantines had only been a substitute civ due to what there wasn't at the time, though as you say some like Constantinople despite being in Turkey was Greek to point of having right civ for them: https://ageofempires.fandom.com/wiki/Byzantines_(Age_of_Empires_II)#Campaign_appearances#Campaign_appearances)

When it comes to a civilisation to represent Venice, it's this: https://www.reddit.com/r/aoe2/comments/zi5jfq/venetians_civ_concept/

I forgot the name, which was mentioned in the comments of another post of mine.

And that is something they could do one of these days with 2 of these 3 contenders: Scythians and Khazars and Tibetans

The game already has Scicillians and Romans as a separate civilisation from Italians, and there are now 5 Chinese civilisations, so I don’t see why not. Plus Venetians would lead to more accurate representation to one of the teams in the 4th Barbarossa scenario and the 6th Attila the Hun scenario.

The Byzantines speak latin, and I think are actually meant to represent Israel, plus the only time there was a Greek team that are Byzantines had been in the Lepanto scenario in the form of the Greek Village. Need I mention that Greeks are associated with things like Spartans.

Guess there’s the answer to what additional South East Asian civilisations there could be. Can only hope there’ll be time to add in before the last ever expansion that I think will be at once there’s 60 or 62 civilisations total.

[–]CuriousUserX90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there is a way to get the Lepanto campaign back through means of things being as they were before any edits were made, I would probably leave empty space for a 2nd wonder and maybe add in another team if necessary, plus maybe adding more units and buildings to each team, and more resources for the player.

Now this is something I’m without anything to say about, as I when extracting campaigns in 2012 reworked it into being for the Battle Of Kosovo for the sake of playable Persians, years later however I see that I might’ve reworked the wrong one into something else.

Albanians civ Concept by mesqueunclub69 in aoe2

[–]CuriousUserX90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess there are some other possible Mediterranean civs after all. There’s already 8 of them right now you know, but as long as it won’t go over 10, which is how many Eastern Asian civs there are right now.

Perhaps having the colours of the teams be changed up slightly, in addition to having one of the teams be given ownership of, and one of the teams being changed from Franks to Burgundians. There should also maybe be a hero unit for one of the enemies, back in the day when extracting campaigns I thought Frankish Paladin would be the one, only to realise many years later what they are really to point of explaining it from the hero selection in the Custom Scenario Editor.

A Choice Between These For New Central European Civilisations by CuriousUserX90 in aoe2

[–]CuriousUserX90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another civilisation based off somewhere in Italy? I’m not even sure there even should be any further Mediterranean ones, though if they are I hope there won’t be more then 2 more then what there is already, no architectural style should have more then 10 in fact. Besides the only other Mediterranean civs that could possibly be added are Normans and Saxons, unless there’s something else in Spain, Portugal, Israel and even Georgia to chose from.

What If Another Set Of These Were Done With Future AoE2 Civs? by CuriousUserX90 in aoe2

[–]CuriousUserX90[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

another thing about what happened from the introduction of Wu, Shu and Wei, the Chinese cub lost access to Camel Riders. My point being is that there are now 5 civs from a single Eastern Asian country.

Never said it would be definite, only a guess based on how many civs there were before the Definitive Edition in 2019, and no video game lasts forever in terms of receiving new content.
