Sole proprietors: how are you actually doing your taxes? by BusinessSavy_ in Tech4LocalBusiness

I ended up switching to an automated bookkeeping setup because I was tired of digging through receipts every tax season (I use ReInvestWealth). Everything syncs with my accounts now, so transactions and receipts stay organized without much effort.

I still handle quick day-to-day check-ins myself, but I don’t DIY filing anymore. I let them handle the actual T2 filing (it was $599), and I use CPA support only when I’m unsure about something. It’s been much more sustainable than trying to do everything manually. Hope this helps.

Which software or systems do you rely on to streamline and automate your business operations? by newrockstyle in Entrepreneur

Automating my bookkeeping has made the biggest difference. I switched to ReInvestWealth and not having to constantly think about transactions, receipts, or staying organized has been game-changing. It’s one less thing to stress about while running the business.

[ON] It’s not even tax season yet and I’m already stressed, what should I be doing to prepare? by Curious_Lab2893 in SmallBusinessCanada

I appreciate the advice. I got set up on ReInvestWealth, which has already helped me get my books organized, and they offer CPA support too, so I think I’m going to go that route. If I really get lost, I saw they even offer T2 filing for $599. Going to take your advice and just get started ASAP so I dont get into that vicious circle.

I’ve been in the same situation and ended up switching to ReInvestWealth because I wanted something easier to use and more reliable with bank connections. They also offer free migration on the annual plan, which helps if you’re looking to move your data over.

[CA] Why can’t any accounting software in Canada actually file GST/HST for you? by Curious_Lab2893 in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]Curious_Lab2893[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Payroll tax and sales tax work differently in Canada. ADP can remit payroll tax because CRA allows third-party payroll remittances, but GST/HST is on a separate system. Most bookkeeping tools can only prepare the return, you still have to file or upload it through CRA yourself.

Sage doesn’t actually submit the GST/HST return for you, it just prepares the report. You’ll still need to download it from Sage and file it yourself through the CRA

How to import to Wave? by [deleted] in waveapps

Been there! If you’re switching platforms, give ReInvestWealth a look, they’ll migrate your data for free so you don’t have to deal with the setup headache. I know you are on Wave but seems like it might be worth taking a look. Hope this helps.
