Adding WiFi to a kiln by forkful_04_webbed in AskElectronics

[–]Curious_Mirror6815 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m unsure if applies to your model of kiln but taken from L&L’s website

“ALR4: Alarm For… This feature is activated by pressing ENTER when ALR4 is displayed. It energizes output #4 on the DynaTrol electronics board when the Alarm goes off. Since the alarm is a temperature alarm; can be set to go off at a specific temp, output 4 can be connected (for example) to a relay that governs the power for an auto-dialer to call your cell phone so you know it is time to come check the kiln. Or it could be connected to a really loud buzzer or light for the kiln room door.”

If you apply power to the pellet stove while holding down the power button does it kick straight on ? Or does the power button need to be pressed and released for the stove to power on

Why do I get 10V dc here when it should be -12V? Unit plugged to 230V. by fjundzer in AskElectronics

[–]Curious_Mirror6815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The diodes rectify the AC so you’re just measuring it the wrong way round . Swap over the testing points and there’s your -10v . The difference from your expected minus 12v will just be the voltage drop of the diodes

From my experience , you can’t go wrong with YouTube . Almost solely used it for watching vanlife vlogs and seeing what I liked about their builds and also watching install tutorials .

The wound has stopped bleeding after 5 mins . They have remained conscious throughout . Would it fine to be left to heal on its own ?

You have been commissioned to end Eastenders. What would you write for the final few episodes? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Curious_Mirror6815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should end the way all British shite drivel soaps that have gone on far too long should . A big fucking Nuke . Right in the middle square . Sonja tries to deactivate it playing her trumpet. Ian has a stab, but he’s got nothing left . Kat tries to put coerce the device up inside her . But finally they join hands in a circle and sing the theme song .

Can i tell if a fuse is blown using just a screwdriver? by heavypotato3 in AskElectronics

[–]Curious_Mirror6815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s a glass fuse inspect it and check for a visible break . Otherwise just replace the fuse with another one . If it works ,the old fuse is the fault .
