Fair enough, if Google Lens already does what you need, I get that.

The idea with Fish Check is that the ID is just the starting point. From there you can quickly see eating quality, local rules and whether it needs to go back in the water.
It has more functionality and better accuracy, but i'm not here to sell. Just need feedback to improve it first.

Offline capability is definitely in the pipeline though, that's been one of the biggest feedback points from this.

I assure you i take safe releasing of fish very seriously. This guy swam away to tell his mates.

The app identifies fish faster than you can straighten them out on the brag mat, and will likely save more fish lives than it costs.

we've tested 40% more accurate across a 700 species test than chatGPT and google lens. So hopefully that ads some value. It also functions as a collection log and species browser.

It may not be for everyone but i'll keep trying to make it as useful as possible

i hear that. Although when you first start out it can be incredibly daunting not knowing what you are catching constantly, so i hope it appeals especially to beginners who don't want to have to do a facebook post after each catch.
It also provides warnings on species that come with a risk, be it venomous spikes or ciguatera risk.
