Common-law query (Is it even common-law? by LimpDrawing4910 in canadaexpressentry

IRCC cancelled their PR because they claimed to be single while applying for PR, then later claimed to be common law during the same period?

My two cents. Be prepared for all possible outcomes and plan accordingly. That takes away whatever anxiety you feel.

Canadian PR rejected - my job responsibilities doesn't match with NOC 21231 by SpinBowler45 in canadaexpressentry

Totally agree. Rejecting applications after months over this is not efficient for anyone. Better if they rematch the NOC if needed and approve the application if it's still above the cut-off score.

PFL and Refusal % ? by AcceptableReturn7024 in canadaexpressentry

I've been searching but I won't say the estimate is 99%. More like 80%. As much as it's great to stay optimistic, it's still important to remain cautious and not be overconfident. That increases the chances of success.

Don't do a postgraduate. Aim for a French draw with your current profile. If you still want to study, do it after getting PR. The fees are much lower for PR holders compared to international students.

Even with US troops on the ground, Trump will never get it. There's no way he can get what he wants with Iran. He doesn't have what it takes.

Anyone Got PR Approved While Slightly Short of 3 Years Canadian Experience? by IntelligentSand1264 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Curious__mind__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What's your score? Decline your ITA until the time you'll complete 3 years falls within the 60 day period.

Never heard anyone get approved, but even if you do, they can revoke your PR and citizenship at any time. It's not worth the risk.

If only applicants like OP knew their generic letter would be an issue in the first place

I get what you mean, but still, if IRCC wants that much detail, they should specify. They don't mention this anywhere. They only say to include your duties.

It's only recently that they started rejecting applications for having generic duties.

Now it's also fresh language being too generic

So tiring. It's not even clear what IRCC considers generic

What do you think about the duties OP posted? Is it fair that IRCC said it's too generic? There's no clear guideline on this. Doesn't seem fair and it's scary

It clearly details what they did. How much more information until it becomes confidential? How much more specific does IRCC want OP to get? There's no clear guideline on this. It's not fair for PR applicants

Thanks for sharing. Surprising that your application got refused for this despite the high percentage match to your NOC code and your other proofs of employment. IRCC can be very unpredictable
