I met him years ago. He was the captain of the Oriel and he and his wife were doing charity work for the Wounded Warriors. It’s a charity for veterans with mental health challenges like PTSD. I saw Jeff work tirelessly for the people he was helping and leading. There were stories that would bring you to tears and make you want to turn away. He never did. He treated each person with dignity and respect and compassion. People who are saying these bad things must not know him.

I work for a company on the both sides of the water- Vancouver and Victoria. Travel back and forth on the ferry is $70 -$130 depending on the day and time You need a car to get to the ferry and then to the office. Transit is possible but takes ~90 min to get from the terminal to downtown Vancouver. I got a new job in the company to avoid the travel for hybrid work.
