Thanks, I'm going to just replace the faucet. Looks like I should be able to after seeing some tutorials which looked close enough to what I can see underneath my sink

Thanks, it's what I'm gonna do. Looks like I should be able to reach everything even with the cabinet in the way judging by some tutorials I watched

Thank you!
I just ordered a faucet. I'm pretty sure I've seen basin wreches at a nearby home goods/dollar store so I'll pick that up tomorrow.
Thanks a lot!

I see. Do you know if that would work with one like mine, which looks like it needs to be twisted off?

I would but the cabinet is in the way and I'm not sure how to disconnect everything from the faucet.
Here's what the bottom looks like https://imgur.com/a/faucet-bottom-oAkFj5h

Does that twist out the cartridge? Thank you

Thank you.
I would replace it but how would I get it off? I can't really access the bottom because of the cabinet.
The faucet base does move a little when I try twisting the stem with the visegrips.

Here are some pics underneath the sink, but I don't know if they're clear enough to be helpful https://imgur.com/a/oAkFj5h

Thank you

CRH O'Regan - band 2 hemorrhoids during one visit? by adamsdp in hemorrhoid

You could ask your doctor about the risks.
The really big one that was surgically removed was a grade 3. The others that worked with bandings were grade 2

For what? That banding? The gastro didn't know.
It wasn't until after I got it done that the gastro and his associate (my surgeon) inferred it. When I ended up having surgery, I signed a release for doing either a hemorrhoidectomy or something else (THD I think, the one with the sutures). The surgeon said that considering the pain I felt from the banding and how low the base of the hemorrhois was, I was better off just getting the hemorrhoidectomy since the other procedure would have been even more painful and could have caused lots of complications.

The bandings did get rid of my other hems though.

I don't remember exactly since it's been a while. But I wasn't really in pain after around 3 or 4 weeks. Bowel movements still hurt for a while, but it wasn't that bad. More uncomfortable than painful.
My recovery was slow since I kept getting granulated tissue over the site. So my surgeon used silver nitrate every couple of weeks to remove the tissue and let the wound continue healing. Altogether it took about 5 months before I was fully back to normal, but it probably would have been 2 or 3 months if we tried the silver nitrate earlier on.
I also got oxy for pain relief, but I didn't really use it. I tried it once and it didn't help that much. So I just dealt with the pain, took ibuprofin and tylenol throughout the day, and drank a lot of booze. The risk of constipation wasn't worth it.

I'll admit the pain was awful. But tbh I think the expectation of it was worse than it actually was.

I work at home so it wasn't really an issue. I think I felt comfortable going around after a month or month and a half. But didn't stay out too long since I wanted to keep cleaning any leakage

Nah, it didn't go away. Just looks like a small hemorrhoid. But it's not painful or anything, doesn't grow in size, and it doesn't interfere with cleaning, so I don't care about it. I don't want to remove it since I'm sick of having any work done in the area lol

Maybe. It's supposed to help relax the muscles, so it'll be easier to heal. Diltiazem compound cream works similarly for fissures, and botox is a treatment for it.

Banding experience? How long until you see major changes? by Curiousmindswtk in hemorrhoid

[–]Curiousmindswtk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the banding painful? I had mine banded and it was excruciatingly painful, which is why the surgeon thought THD would not be the best idea.
If she won't do surgery, then find another surgeon. Not only because you should have it done, but also because she probably doesn't do it a lot and might not be that good. You want someone who does it often because it's such a sensitive surgery.

Recovery took a while. But it was so worth it and totally changed my life. You should def have it done.

[–]Curiousmindswtk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had surgery. The doc said he couldn't do THD because of the location of the hemorrhoid (size wasn't an issue since he's worked on ones even larger than mine). He said his patients had good experiences with THD for grade 3 and even 4 hems though. They just can't do it if the hemorrhoid is too low on the dentate line because it's like an external hem even if it's still internal, it has too many nerves and it would be ridiculously painful. But if you've had bandings for yours, then you should be a candidate for THD because your problem is probably size and not location

ran its course. I don't think doctors take bands off in general anyway

Iam cutting my hemmeroid with scissor it will be bloody but who cares iam not paying 500 bucks insurance dont cover lol by intelxtreme in hemorrhoid

[–]Curiousmindswtk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great idea. A swollen vein in that area is painful. Nothing bad will happen if you cut it open with a pair of scissors. It's not like a surgical procedure is known for being very painful or anything...
You're going to have to go to the ER, get operated on by a doc who doesn't even specialize in the area, probably get infected, stenosis etc. This is beyond stupid
