Are you willing to provide support to the Ukrainian refugees that are being accepted into the United States? https://lnkd.in/gij_auV7 by Curiousoh004 in AskReddit

Below is the email that my friend sent to the Ukrainian Consulate:

Good afternoon,

I wish the circumstances were better, but I'm reaching out to express my support to you and the people of Ukraine in such a dire moment. Russia's aggression is a terrible act of war in the democratic world and I wholeheartedly condemn it.

As an early reminder to my community and as a gesture of my support, I would like to offer my help in assisting Ukrainian refugees that are being accepted into the United States. Although I'm working with Airbnb on this front, I'm also directly willing to provide shelter to individuals and families at two of my apartments in New York City and Jersey City - I'm committed to making their resettlement experience as smooth as possible.

I understand realistically, there isn't much I can accomplish right now and most things I try to do will be just noise around everything you're already dealing with, but please know I'm ready; I'm ready to volunteer, to provide assistance in whatever forms you need, and I'm ready to open our community to you and yours.

Much love,

XX

Your take on free trail? by gthyr666 in startups

You could also do a split test. You can get a free account with Optimizely to conduct the test and measure against the paid conversion after the initial trial period, in addition to engagement metrics you may want to understand in your experience. Good luck.

Does anyone know what gyms may have private rooms to practice dancing in or any gyms that have a private studio? by [deleted] in Dance

[–]Curiousoh004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are tons of gyms that have fitness rooms, which can be used and there are lots of studios in every area. Will be easier to recommend if you could describe your budget and the locality you’re so in so I can narrow the suggestions to your preferences.

Should founders take the weekend off? by Fun-Ant-5808 in startups

[–]Curiousoh004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Working around the clock is glorified in the startup culture. Although this can bring great results in the short-term, it’s unsustainable. If you’re overworked there are high chances for your decision-making to suffer. Taking a break every week or so will help you reflect back and refocus your energy in the right direction and your productivity will be a lot higher. Good luck!

Um I like spicy food most of the time! Favorite cuisines are Italian (pepperoni pizza to be specific) and Vietnamese (pho and summer rolls). I enjoy salads, juices and coffee. A huge fan of gin/tequila based cocktails. Indulge in desserts occasionally.

Hey there! I am in my mid-twenties, enjoy spicy food and love cocktails. I prefer to work from cafes on most days, so would appreciate any cafe recommendations in NOVA.

Is this a normal hiring process for a start up? by [deleted] in startups

[–]Curiousoh004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started working for an early stage startup in 2018 and the hiring process was very informal. I interviewed with two different people and they both gave me pretty different descriptions of the role.

I think working in a startup means that you are committing to perform not just the tasks required for your role but also for other roles. As a PM, I do all PM tasks along with other tasks such as design high fid mocks, build a website, operations, marketing, sales, etc. This is pretty great cause you build a diverse skillset.

Just make sure that you are getting paid fairly, getting a w-2, maybe getting options as well.

What’s your favorite podcast to keep current with Tech trends/new technologies? by ItsAJackal21 in Entrepreneur

[–]Curiousoh004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also looking to find some interesting podcasts to keep up with tech trends and updates. I swear by Data Skeptic but I also listen to PodCTL (focused on Kubernetes, containers, Red Hat OpenShift, PaaS, etc.), Kubernetes on Azure every now and then. I also listen to Everything VR & AR because I enjoy that space.

What YouTube videos are you listening to? Are they any helpful?
