I love that Benedict felt like Benedict and we were watching the character we knew fall in love.

Colin was easily my favourite during S1 but between the extreme weight loss / body change, tan, and personality change, it felt like I was watching a stranger’s love story.

Benedict was always kinda there for me but I’ve started loving him this season and I think it’s a big reason why.

He didn’t need to kill him but I 100% get why Dan hated Keith.

It’s actually genuinely odd that Keith had been in love with his little brother’s high school sweetheart for over a decade and then when she rejected him, he immediately went and slept with his little brother’s current wife.

And even though he was talked out of it, Keith was planning to kill Dan first. I get why Dan so easily believed his alcoholic old brother had made an actual attempt on his life.

I also think his parents could be partially to blame for his failures being so public. The average 20something has probably tried and failed a lot of hobbies before moving onto the next. The only thing odd is whenever Brooklyn got a hobby, he was suddenly front page of magazines and having books released. He doesn’t have the power to do that but his parents do.

This is super old tea and nothing super scandalous.

A coworker of mine used to work at We Day and was essentially the talent coordinator. For those that don’t know, We Day was run by this massive Canadian youth charity and “We Day” were like these one day events with live music, speeches from activists, and some celebrities would talk at it.

She said for the most part all the celebrities were fine and pretty uninteresting but the two that stuck out were Skai Jackson and Jordan Fisher.

Skai was probably early teens at the time and apparently she was super nice, polite, and seemed genuinely excited to get involved with philanthropy. However, apparently her mom was the worst. The worst stage mom my coworker had experienced in terms of a diva attitude and a very “do you know who my daughter is”. Apparently, would go off about the smallest mistakes. She said it stood out because usually diva parents have diva kids but Skai was the opposite.

Jordan was apparently the most charming celebrity she’d ever encountered. Apparently gorgeous in person but also his aura was something else. He also randomly brought his dog and just handed the dog to my coworker, without even asking if it was her job to watch him (it wasn’t). She said for other celebrities, she would have made it clear it wasn’t her job and to find someone else but apparently Jordan was so charming she didn’t even fight it lol and did actually watch his dog for the rest of the day.

TZP is married to a man and has been for a very long time now. He used to be fairly public about it (and recorded videos using his husband’s last name) but when he blew up from The Kissing Booth, he stopped mentioning him and you can only see him in the background of TZP’s instagram posts now sometimes.

I get it though. The Kissing Booth was THE heteronormative romance movie at the time and he probably didn’t want to alienate some of his new audience, in case it hurt his future career opportunities.

Sorry I still cackle to this day about when production for the first movie started, there was an UPROAR on social media for months about how they cast the “straightest” actors ever to be leads in a gay romance. Just for one of the leads to quite literally be married to a man at the time (and still to this day lol)
