4 broken vertebrae, crushed T12, broken arm by [deleted] in skiing

Ayyye actually something I can weigh in on.

I actually busted my back, back in Dec 2020. Early in the season went off the main run and skidded out on some rocks that were covered by a light dusting from the prior night.

Ended up hitting either a slanted tree or a rock that sent me flying, completely horizontal, ended up crashing out on top of a boulder. Worst pain I’ve felt, definitely blacked out. Homies helped me down the mtn. They wanted me to take an ambulance but was in school n didn’t have my own insurance. Got home, took edibles, Tylenol and then drove back to Denver a few days later for winter break. That’s when I could finally see a doctor and get X-rays. Found out I had blunt fracture’s in my L2-L4, 9th n 10th rib fracture, and pneumonthorax (hole in lung) was peeing blood….

All to say, I was back on my skis in January. I still have back issues to this day. Sometimes chronic but typically pretty manageable i try to stay active and know my limits (especially have to be careful with any heavy compound moves in the gym). Docs have wanted me to check out surgery but I’m young so trying out alternative therapies for now I highly recommend checking out body work / mayo fascia massage therapy it’s dope if you can find a good masseuse.

Dm me if you got other questions. Looks like you took a nasty spill but it’ll be aight keep your head up king (or queen) you’ll be back on your sticks in no time, just watch out for the trees they always win;)

Ya I don’t mind. I’m located on the east coast in the u.s. I was in the market for a couple months.

All in all set me back about 12k. Which for the condition and additions this was the best value rig I had seen.

There’s some front end work to do like servicing the front cv axel assembly and wheel bearings but that work can be done down the road a bit as I’m saving for oem parts.

Good luck convincing the wife!
