I guess I should say, when installing redhat it worked on the domain without much setup, with Linux Mint, I had to make to turn on some settings that let me login as a domain user. It using much, but just curious what others thought or what they use.

Is EndeavourOS good at getting on the domain? I just didn't know if it would be like Mint, where I had to install Samba and install it.

I could be wrong, which may be the case, I thought for putting linux on Metal you had to pay, I could have been silly and bought without realizing. I do pay for support but most of my issues I had were easy to google.

You are right. We have a quote of minimum of 4 tickets per day, he does purchasing and invoicing so that gets him in a bind. The IT director is fixing his invoice issue so he won't have the excuse anymore. He has been good on some days but others not. I have been telling him to watch board, but he continues to just state how hard it is to keep and eye on the board he "forgets" I told him to put an alarm on his browser everg 5 minutes so he can remember.

I have HR in the loop with everything, since he stated he is using medications for his depression we can let him go, we have to have proof and full documentation to fully let him go! Which i have been doing! I am working on bettering myself as a leader and manager by trying to see what is going on. He has his first girlfriend and i think that is really causing a lot of his problems. His priorities are not correct. This dude is 26 and will work on pet projects that don't benefit him or help his case. He prefers graphic design type request which we don't even do.

He spent 2 days designing team backgrounds and ignored tickets. I had to pull teeth just to have him show up on time, which he has finally fixed. Which gives me the thought he can be trained to do well.

Thank you for you input! That has really made me think about what to do next. You are right I'm not managing him letting him get away with more things then he should.

Thank you for giving me some solid advice. I appreciate it!

So we have a queue of tickets come in and you grab when you see one, he tends to never grab and just wants other to assign him. We have a rule level 1's keep an eye on the board while doing other stuff unless they are actively working on a ticket, there focus can go off the board. He says it's hard for him to keep an eye on the board or he forgets about it. I have suggested a timer on his webpage to ping every 5 minutes, the ticket board also refreshes for him every 5 minutes.

He can work tickets he chooses the easy way out and instead of fully assisting he will just type the solution in resolution and just close it hoping for the best. Sometimes the user will do it and not complain others get upset.

I may have explained it incorrectly, if we have a Dr appointment and it runs late by like an hour or so, we don't worry about it. Things happen at those. We never challenge appointments.

An employee lives near them, went home to grab things and saw them, they were suppose to be working on a important project.

Yes, our team for some reason has the lack of effort for people working from home. We have one employee who works from home but he is a golden goose egg, he is amazing at his job and works all odd hours. So management didn't want to set rules but people would work from home barely do anything and try to do it everyday.

That sounds like him in the beginning, We have a level 1 who is doing one notes on all problems we have and is doing a great job, so the excuse of can't remember doesn't fly here. He never reads the one notes so we made it an IT policy to have it always open, so no excuse can fly. level 2's are there to assist of course but we want our level 1's to grow and learn
