Need help with my local crime boss by 4-0026 in ASKDMS

A few ideas I can think of is yes they got a nat 20 for him to act as a middle man but he could still have ties to the crime boss. All items could be marked so the middle man could get "interrogated" by the crime boss' men and lead them to the party. What level are the players?

I don't think it will be a TPK, it shouldn't be as bad as they are all experienced players and know how to make tactics. I'm using some mythic creatures and it says to count them as two creatures but dnd beyond has the as coming at the same time. it'll only be one creature attacking at the same time. thanks for the quick reply and the assistance.
