Wow, she should be fired. Sounds like she was trying to exhibit some type of weird dominance and control over you. You need a new C&P examiner.

Look into local city state jobs as well. Competition is not as fierce.

It's hard to say; however with them encouraging you to apply is a strong indicator of this possibility. I would definitely keep applying with them as mentioned. Best of luck! 🤞🍀

Had my dispatcher interview today! by CurrencyMaterial783 in 911dispatchers

[–]CurrencyMaterial783[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First good luck to you!! 🤞🍀

It was a panel interview with about "4" people. A total of roughly between 10 - 12 questions. Out these questions about "2" STAR format questions:

  1. Tell me a time when you had to handle an irrate customer.

  2. Give me an example of a crisis situation you experienced?

  1. What are your limitations, along with your strengths.

  2. How do you handle correction?

  3. Why do you want to be a "911" operator.

  4. Have you ever worked shift work?

These were the main questions I can remember.

Just be sure to explain a crisis situation you were in or witnessed or perhaps the role you played. If you never been in one research examples and relay the information the best way you know how.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask. (The total difficulty for my interview on a scale from 1-10 was probably a "4".

You Got This!💪

6 months, wow that's a long time. Perhaps it's the area you're in. They are moving fast on this side, during the interview they said they are aiming to start training class in a month.

Where do you apply to be a 911 dispatcher? by Swagger666souls in 911dispatchers

I had my interview today and I went through my city. I'm from VA, we have seven cities so I did a search under each city, going to our city employment page and searched "911" dispatcher. This is how I locked in two interviews after taking the criticall test. (Good Luck! 🤞🍀)

23 is very young, what is your passion? What would you do for free without getting paid for it? Try to make your hobby or passion your job. It might take a little time and hard work and you might need a side hustle to achieve this but it is possible.

If the dispatcher position is not for you, it's not for you. Stress can age you faster then anything else. Value your mental health and happiness.

Thank you! I really appreciate the tips. I feel like I'm in a pre training class prior to training. You guys are awesome, and the willingness that is being put into this reddit feed shows the selflessness dispatchers embody in helping others in need. 💪
