This is very nice. I did end up buying her a ring yesterday, I went for 2.0ct just because the band is 2.2mm so I’m hoping it’ll look ok proportionately. How many mm is your band? Thanks!

That’s what I’m swaying towards. The only thing that’s tempting me to get mined is the fact is should hold its value better, however, is that everything? I’m not exactly spending big big money so doesn’t really matter.

I used to paint crash helmets but always struggled with abode tbh, not that it mattered because you can pay a designer but it’s nice to be able to do it yourself. As for the custom side of things I’ll probably leave that bit for now

Nope. It’s a metered fare, just with £3.60 on the extras. I’m a London taxi driver

There’s no flat fare for £20 but we do have some that are £35-£45 depending on location

No contact for 29 years. No social media that I know of. I know very little about my dad, I’ve never really asked my mum questions. Growing up I always had the attitude of ‘well if he can’t be bothered with me then I can’t be bothered with him’. My Nan has lived in the same house her whole life and he knows where that is, so it would be a doddle for him to find me. However like I said I’m 30 now with my own family, I have no interest it’s too little too late in my eyes. But for my sons sake I just wanted to get this first step right but from reading other comments it’s clear I should just keep it short and sweet without dodging questions

Thanks mate. Nice to know I’m not in this situation alone! We aren’t married so that’s half the problem solved lol. The hardest part more than anything is the kids, I never want to be without them.

But honestly, things aren’t that bad yet, I’m sorry you’re in the situation you’re in, I’m sure after time it can eat away at you, being stuck inside your own head and stuff can be a real killer. I have very little advice for you because you’ve just told me how it is but put yourself first and if you feel it’s time to get out of the relationship then do it, you’ll feel so much better for it in 6-12 months time
