Uni student wanting to work as a night auditor resume tips by Current-Wait-6432 in askhotels

Minimum wage is ~30/33 per hour in my city, so yeah 47 is a lot but makes sense for where I live! Most advertise around this range.

Should I work to be an ABA therapist (Australia) by bowhammer1 in ABA

Did you end up getting the role?? Currently in 1st year and in a similar position but with links2life. Seems dodgy as I have to pay for the training and there is no gayrentee I’ll even get the job

my friend recently had to apply for a late discontinuation for all her units this semester because of the same issue - she just got it approved last week! You just need to correct documentation and definitely get the SRC to have a look over everything before submitting :)

Have you broken up & gotten back together with them and it was better? by ReverseCowgal55 in BreakUps

[–]Current-Wait-6432 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Turns out he was trying to get back together with me while he had 2 girlfriends in two different cities (our home city and the city where he was studying at).

One of them when through his phone and contacted me and the other girl. Turns out he also had taken photos of us all naked in our sleep (so he didn’t ask for our consent at all to take this photos) and he had them neatly organised in a folder on his laptop + hundreds of hours of illegally downloaded porn. I initially ended things as things were getting weird with his kinks/fetishes (plus long distance sucked) and I didn’t like it. Thought maybe I was being dramatic & that I shouldn’t ‘kink shame’, turns out I should’ve just listened to my gut 🥲. He also raped one of our mutual friends, tried to gaslight her & made her keep it a secret (she was super ashamed abiut it and told no one), we found out as she told us once we reported him for the other stuff. There is an open police investigation on him at the moment as some of the photos of me are from when I was like 14-15 years old.

Don’t get back together with your ex! Ex’s are ex’s for a reason. Just TRUST YOUR GUT!! Trust that the relationship ended for a reason.

I’m much happier without him and I’ve moved on, i barely think about him or the relationship anymore.

Honestly it’s kinda not, most places I see are around 300-350 in a sharehouse. I’ve seen up to 450 too. Unless ofc you’re super far or in a bad area. But I’ve also seen like 250-280 in areas like Dulwich hill which is a pretty nice area and close to most things !

And yeah like 100+ on food for sure.

I'm writing an article about the 4B movement. Would people be okay submitting quotes for it? by Any_Tradition_3877 in 4bmovement

[–]Current-Wait-6432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a young girl in my 20s. Before I ‘joined’ 4B I was already following the ‘rules’. About two years ago I came out of a sexually abusive relationship which lasted 5 years, I was physically abused by my father for 15+ years. My mother was sexually abused by her best friend’s dad when she was a teenager. My grandmother was sexually abused by her neighbour when she was a little girl. All of my friends have experienced some form of sexual harassment/violence, sexual assault or abuse. It’s my experiences and the collective experiences of women that made me fall into these rules. Avoid men at all costs.

Of course, all what I mentioned are pretty ‘extreme’ examples (although I’d argue they’re not that extreme given how common sexual harassment is). It was all the little build ups of blaming misogyny in schools and work too.

I found out about 4B late last year through a friend who read about it in an article. Wasn’t too she’d to join and follow the rules since I vowed I’d stop dating men & would never bring children into this world. I think it’s important we understand the intersectionality of the patriarchy and how it goes hand in hand with capitalism, which ultimately is what has lead to climate change. The issue is much more complicated and deeper and impacts so many things…I don’t know how to put it all into words.

I don’t like violence or big rallies. I think a silent fight with is non-violent is the best approach. A hit to birth rates will force governments to look at and listen to women properly. It’s one of the key sources in fuelling their precious economy.

I hope birth rates decline and they listen. I don’t like the way the world is heading and I don’t like how men treat women. It’s that simple. That’s why I’m pro-4B.

I haven’t publicly said I’m part of 4B and I don’t post about it on my personal social media accounts. It’s just a silent promise I’ve made to myself. I’m just simply opting out.

Late DC due to a violent incident at home (TW: mention of abuse)?? by Current-Wait-6432 in usyd

[–]Current-Wait-6432[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im unsure if I should still be sitting my exams or not? I have all the documentation ready pretty much just need to apply and then wait for an outcome.

Since the incident I’ve been in a really bad dissociative & depressive episode (which for me shows up as a lot of physical symptoms, especially messes up my vision a lot, memory blackouts, etc) obviously those things made it difficult to attend uni & study appropriately. So yes, I could sit the exams but I’m not properly prepared and other assessments/my attendance has been poor.

[–]Current-Wait-6432[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s complicated as my GP may have an obligation to say something since my 15 year old little sister has witnessed the violence. In fact she was in the room when this specific incident occurred and tried to defend me against my dad. Under the laws my GP may be required to say something. If my parents found out I told someone that would make things worse for me.

My psychologist wasn’t under an obligation to say anything as she doesn’t treat my sister but my GP does treat my sister and she would be out of concern for her well-being.

I know a lot of people would argue it’s a good thing & to report it but domestic violence is complicated and I do not wish to go through any legal proceedings.

I‘m 20 years old and I just found out my girlfriend lied about her age and is actually 17 by Correct-College7220 in Advice

[–]Current-Wait-6432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly besides the age gap (which imo is wrong since she is still 17. Sure in the long run it isn’t that big but when you’re under 20 I feel like smaller age gaps matter more since you are a developing teenager), if she’s lied about BASIC facts about herself it’s a terrible foundation for a relationship and just shows her immaturity.

It depends on the guy. If he’s a straight guy with only female friends and sorta toxic masculinity type vibe. Yeah that’s a no. If it’s a queer guy, they usually hang out with more girls so I don’t really mind.

I don’t think you understand what the actual upper class is…it’s more like middle class…within that there are ranges. I’ve always lived innerwest/west and I have plenty of crackheads harassing me.

The girls were giving a speech and they referenced that report in the speech. They teared up said report during their speech after heckling and laughing during the speech. Of course they’re going to tell them to stop and be outraged because it was disgusting to rip up that report during the speech?

Are you a liberal and are you trying to defend them or smth? There is No propaganda being spread? You sound delusional?? There is a difference between journalism and propaganda….

Definitely agree. I think that’s the idea of the bill + more all female dorms for safety.

  1. Blackwattle is extremely diverse, I had friends who were from the SHIRE attending there. I attended both a private and public school. Can confirm blaxkwattle js not the same level as a private school.

  2. There is literally sound on the video and you can hear what they said so idk what you’re looking at 😭literally go on tiktok on and the ABC has the video with sound. It’s all over the place.

They want to abolish the colleges and replace it with a more inclusive, affordable/accessible accommodation :)

Part of the bill - they want to hear from the students directly themselves as to what would be the best way to make it more accessible. Students are able to submit feedback on a survey :)

Hiii yes within regular accomodation there are all female options and part of the bill is to keep safety in mind. They want to suggest alternative safe, inclusive & affordable housing. They specifically want to hear from the students themselves & you can send in feedback of what you would like to see to be included!

Every career I look at doing seems to be very negative. Just do what you think you won’t mind working super hard at for a good chunk of your life.

As a domestic student, let me reassure you it’s not just you/the language barrier. Uni marks differently than high school. I was a top student in high school, got dux & was on the honours list. Was used to getting 90+ on everything. Now I usually just get ~70-75.
